Fantasmic Balcony or Premium seating: Which is better?

I want to do the Fantasmic Desert Buffet, but can't decide between the Balcony seats and the Premium seats. Is one better than the other? They are both the same price so I have no other way to choose between them!

Any help would be appreciated.

I'd go for the Dessert Buffet as you get to overlook the show from the balcony. But premium you're on the floor so get a better (? - in some opinions) view. We'll be doing Dessert Buffet in August. Others will most certainly have better advice though - as they've had the chance to experience them.

Depend on the experience you want.

Balcony: Up high. Feels special because out of all the thousands of people in the park, you are one of 21 that get to sit there. Desserts are more high end- fancy cake, cheese cake, etc. Better service because of the small amount of guests. Drawbacks? Small amount of space, so not a lot of room to stretch your legs. Back a ways from the show, so not as much of a feeling of being involved (feel the heat and water spray)

Riverside: More room and closer to the show. You can feel the heat from the fire and spray from the water. Kids are $10 less. Drawback: desserts (cookies, rice crispy treats, choc. starwberries) are not as nice and since there is more people, you wont have as good as service. Easier to reserve because the balcony usually fills up first.

Great! I was wondering the same thing. On our last trip (over 9 years ago) we did the balcony (there was no other "premium" seating at that time) and my dd17 does not remember any of it. We will try for either place on our trip because I have spinal problems and must sit. This is the only way I know to guarantee we will have seating (other than to park ourselves 3 hours prior to the show). The sad part is, I don't eat sweets!

If you sit up in the balcony you also can choose fruit and cheese & crackers. It was very tasty up there.

Good to know! DH is diabetic so I was a bit worried. A few sweets are okay, but a buffet full is not such a great idea.

I'll shoot for the balcony, but if we can't get it, the Riverside sounds just fine.

We have done both and perfer the balcony. Good selection of goodies not just sweets. Service was excellent. Good luck with your decision.

It's really going to be a personal perference.

I've done both and from now on will choose the riverside seating. Fantasmic is a show to be experienced, not just watched. I experience more when I'm riverside as others have said, the water spray, the heat from the fire, the pirates swinging above you, etc.

I actually got better service riverside too. Yes, there are more people but there are also a few more cast members to help out. I never had to ask for refils, they were always there asking. Not so on the balcony. However, it was nice to get the fruit and cheese from the balcony. But if you get riverside and let the hostess know about any special needs when you check in, they can get some additional options for you.
