We're going on a Friday in the middle of November and will either have a fastpass or the seating from the dining plan. There will only be one show at 7pm. What time do we need to be there for?

Thank you!

I've read where you only need to show up 20-30 minutes a head of time for either fp or dining package.

If you want to not be in the middle of massive crowds and have a choice of where to sit...
With FP, arrive 50 min. before.
With DP, arrive 40 min. before.

What a FP+ for F! offers is more CHOICE in seating.

If you DO get a F! FP+, you can choose to sit in either the FP section (virtually the entire left half of the theater)

or the Standby section (virtually the entire right half of the theater.)

So, whatever section has the better seating at the time you arrive, you can go there.

Without a FP, you can only choose a seat in the Standby section.

There is a very good chance that you can get a FP+ for F! as a 4th or 5th FP of the day because they

issue SO MANY of them (enough to cover nearly the entire left half of the seating.)

On many nights, it is possible that you can gat a FP+ for F! as you are walking to the theater.

As to when to arrive at the theater, I'd get to there 45-60 minutes before the show-time.

Even with a FP or Dining Pkg. reservation, don't wait too late.

On busy nights, the CMs can stop holding the reserved sections within 20-30 minutes before show-time,

and turn over any available seats to waiting walk-in guests.

There is sometimes a "pre-show" (such as it is) that can help pass the last 30 minutes before show time.

Red= Dining Package Reserved

Blue= FP+ Reserved

Purple= Can be either FP+ or Dining Plan Reserved, depending on needs.

(Second or Third F! performance of the evening)

Cyan= Standby (walk-in) seating

Red, Purple, Blue= FP+ Reserved

(Although much of the outer Blue will likely be used for Standby.)

Like Robo said, if you want free choice of seats, show up about 45min-1 hour ahead of show time. For the first show they normally open the gates about an hour prior to showtime. We wait about 10-15 min in FP line, then head into the arena and are normally first ones in.

You can show up later than that, say 15-30 min before showtime. But FP and dining area might be full by then so you'll have to go to a different section. It's all about if you want a good selection of seats and care where you're at.

Sorry one more question - people mention buying food to eat in line or at their seats. Is this from concessions in Fantasmic or from the area by Rosie's, Fairfax Fare?

You can do either, or a combination of both.

On most evenings, if you arrive at the F! gate 45-60 minutes before the first (or only) show of the night,
you won't be in line long enough to eat anything.

You will simply be walking continuously until you reach the seating area.
