Hi everyone!

So, for our upcoming trip, we were going to try to stick to one night in HS and wondered if we would be able to do Fantasmic and then go from there to the Star Wars Fireworks. Has anyone done this/is it possible?

All of my research says it's not possible. That being said, if there's a 2nd Fantasmic you could do both.

What are the start-times?
What date(s)?
I don't know when you're going.

:welcome: to the DISboards, dswish!

On March 9 Fantasmic is currently scheduled at 7:30 only and SWAGS is at 8:00 so no, you won't be able to see both. Fantasmic is approximately 25 minutes long and then you have to allow time to leave the amphitheater and find a spot for SWAGS where you can see the projections on the Great Movie Ride building facade and the fireworks. SWAGS will be over before you find a spot.

So, when we visit Fantasmic is at 7pm and SWAGS at 7:45, so it sounds like timing is tight but possible? We have seen Fantasmic several times before so could sit at rear of theater by the exit

Is Fantasmic performed twice on any night of your trip? We've found it easy to get from the fireworks to Fantasmic2, and even fit in a couple of Tower rides in between. Fantasmic to fireworks seems tougher.

Where is the best place to find the most current schedules for when Fantasmic will be shown?

All of the calendars list F! times.

But, how far in advance the listings will be correct is a big problem currently with WDW schedules.
The info can change up until the last week or so... sometimes as late as day-of.

HERE is one calendar for Feb. 2017.

HERE is one calendar for March 2017.

There are many other calendars, including the ones in your MyDisneyExperience link and/or on Disneyworld.com.

Will you find a spot to see a slim piece of the Star Wars show? Maybe. Will it be a spot near the stage or toward the front of Hollywood Boulevard where you need to be to see the projections that make up most of the show? Nope.

Also, please don't plan to leave Fantasmic early, it's not fair to those around you.

In my recent experience at DHS, most people attempt to do both! If you want a prime viewing spot for SW fireworks then no, you will have to miss Fantasmic. But there's generally a massive crowd that floods Sunset Blvd from the Fantasmic exit right onto Hollywood Blvd to catch the fireworks before heading out. No guarantee you'll have great viewing of the show, but it is possible if crowds aren't crazy that day! I'm a local so I usually take advantage of the little (to no!) wait times on all rides during Fantasmic-- highly recommend if you've already experienced Fantasmic once during your trip or are prioritizing the SW fireworks!!

Thanks good information that will help us come up with a plan. Also for what its worth I never suggested leaving early or inconveniencing others, just sitting by the exit to be able to get out sooner at the conclusion.

FWIW, I know you never said anything about leaving early, but that's where a lot of these plans go when trying to see both. It was more a general comment for anyone reading along hoping to formulate their own plan. Have a fun trip!
