I really enjoyed Movie Magic. I thought it was touching and nostalgic and entertaining. We watched Fantasmic and then Disney Movie Magic in February because they timed it where we could do both easily. I think Fantasmic was at 7, Movie Magic around 8, and fireworks at 8:15. It was great timing. I guess that as the daylight hours become longer, it is harder for them to schedule all three shows at a time when all guests can see them (unless they keep the park open longer, which they clearly don’t want to do).
I think all three could be seen fairly easily when there is at least 45 minutes between the first and the second.
We were 2nd row, far left end seats (facing the performance) when we saw Fantasmic so we were about as far away from the exit as one could get, but we still had plenty of time to get to a good viewing spot for Movie Magic.
45 minutes from the start of Fantasmic would be pushing it from where we were, but sitting near the back and center would get a person out soon enough, I think.
If I had to choose one, I’d probably choose Fantasmic because I love it so much. And yes, I’d stay for the entire show.
But if I had seen Fantasmic and not Movie Magic or Star Wars, I think I’d have to pick the latter two. All three shows are well done.
