Fantasmic and September trip

Hey everyone, I am a WDW vet but a DL newbie, so any and all suggestions are appreciated.
So one of our family must DOs on our first visit to the mothership is of course Fantasmic, more specific the Premium dining package at River Belle, with fantasmic on a pause should I go ahead and just book for the time slot I need and hope they can just upgrade to premium package when or if Fantasmic returns before our trip? Our ADR date is near the end of July, hoping for some fantasmic news by then.

I have seen F!. It is great. I have done the Blue Bayou Preimum Package and the F! Dessert Party on the terrace of the old DIsney Gallery in NOS. I wanted to do the F! Premium package at River Belle for my August trip but F! is down.
I doubt there will be any announcement about F! until after Labor Day. I think F! will be back after September or so. Most likely for the Holiday/Christmas Season.
But check the reservations as your ADR date gets there!!
I will be watching too!! Have a great trip to the "mothership"!

Just jumping in to say that we also did the old dessert party on the NOS balcony and I sure wish they still did that. It was AMAZING

That Fantasmic dessert party on the Disney Gallery terrace was awesome!!

I don’t think they would convert a regular Riverbelle reservation to a premium reservation as those are in high demand and they offer very few of them. Also, when Fantasmic comes back there’s no guarantee the same dining packages will be offered. I would book where you want to eat regardless of Fantasmic and wait to see if and when it’s coming back and what dining packages will be offered.
