Fantasmic and Oga's?

We have a 7 pm Olga's reservation that I excited to be able to get. But I also have an FPs for 8 pm for Fantasmic. I have never used FP for this before and the return window says 7.20pm to 7.35pm. Is this doable? if we show up early enough to Olga's and hope they let us in early (I know that might not be possible). Normally it wouldn't matter to me. But I am taking a first-timer and really want him to have good seats for Fantasmic as I just know he will love that show. I would love some feedback!

first, just to make sure, the name is Oga not Olga (sorry pet peeve)
Now you could try and check in early for Oga and see if they allow you inside early, if not and you have to wait until 7pm it'll basically be however long you want in there, at max 45 minutes. Oga is on the opposite side of Fantasmic! so it's about a 15 minutes,brisk walk from one point to the other. You will be limited in the choice of seating for Fantasmic! since you will most likely arrive at 7:45pm.
You will also be hurried in your Oga experience.

I'm going to say no. You need to factor in time to get from SWGE to Fantasmic, which are at opposite ends of the park. And ADRs far more often run late than let you get in early. Even if you get seated exactly on time at 7am, and even if you know what you want to order before you get it, your server shows up right away, best case says you get you drinks around 7:10/7:15. Even assuming you pay cash so don't have to wait for card processing and slurp down your drink ASAP, I'm thinking the fastest you would get out the door is 7:20/7:25. And then you have at least a 15-20 minute brisk walk (you will get slowed down by all the crowds heading toward fantasmic) across the park. Which puts you outside your FP window and in the general access line.

I swear we need some sort of autocorrect on this board to change Olga's to Oga's.

I think you need to either give up on the Fantasmic FP and take whatever seats you can get, or keep trying for an earlier time.

I would think that’s too close. I’m worried about my timing with a 7:00 Oga’s, a 7:15-8:15 SDD and a 9:00 Fantasmic.

Agree with others. For a GOOD seat at F!, you need to be there by 7:15 at the latest. FPs for F! are pretty much worthless. You will be ushered in with general crowd for seating. A F! dining package gets you a reserved section, although not necessarily a great seat, either, unless you get there by 7:00 ish.

Thanks all! I was having a "trying to have my cake and eat it too" moment I think. Not know how crowded it will be, I thought that Oga's would make for a good excuse to definitely stop and see the new area of the park. We are both just casual star wars fans, but I thought we would enjoy the drinks/atmosphere. It's was more for me than my friend, I have to admit. Priority is definitely the Fantasmic seating as he has never been, and I think he would really enjoy the show.

I would try to get an earlier time for Oga’s. It’s pretty cool, but you definitely have it timed too close for comfort right now.

Ask your friend which he would prefer. Since it’s his first time, let him pick. Maybe explain why both are great options and go with it.
