Fantasia Sam - question about honeymoon pictures

Hi Sam,

I know that you were very helpful in getting information about the honeymoon pictures (how to book) but I have a question that I forgot to ask the photo people at Disney. Do you get the negatives?

I booked two sessions with them and my FI booked a third as a surprise for me! I'm so excited I can't wait until next year (October).

Jodi - I believe the honeymoon session is the same as all the DPS packages. You can buy a high-res cd of all the images for 1,000 at the time of your shoot. I believe after 3 years, the price drops to $100. You can buy a low res cd of the images for $75 at any time. The low-res cd is only good for on screen viewing, and for printing wallet size photos.

Wow, I wonder why it costs so much? We would probably have to go with the low res cd. too bad!

I know it is pretty steep - and from what I've read this also reminds me that being from the UK we were supposed to get a high-definition CD with our prints at no extra fee - there are some perks from being over the pond after all.

We received the negatives along with the photos we had taken on our honeymoon. There was also a portfolio frame included. It was 4 1/2 years ago and part of the honeymoon package that we booked.

Amy I can tell you you definitely do not receive the negatives anymore.

You do get proofs of all of your shots.

Sam, do you know how many photos are actually taken during a Honeymoon shoot? I know that the folio includes the best shots, but do you get the other shots as proofs and if so how many should we expect?

You get all shots as proofs. I don't know about how many they take though, sorry.

Thanks Codie! Yes it is! It was from our ceremony at SBP, and it was taken by DPS, who did a fantastic job.
