How is the mini golf side not the pitch and putt ? Is it too hard for 5 & 10 yo girls?

Was thinking of trying with kids in April. Oldest daughter though Fantasia looked fun but thinking winter summer land might be easier ?

Thoughts

Thanks

We did this last time with my 2 girls who were 2&10 at the time and they loved it, yes DD2 could not do it properly but she had so much fun trying, we had a lovely sunny day and took our time. DD10 found it fine, compares to most mini golf. I came last!! Think DD2 was cheating a bit!!
We've not done winter summerland so I can't compare but we will definitely do Fantasia again, we stayed at BC and just walked through swan/dolphin.

I did it with my 5 year old last trip and I thought it was quite hard for mini golf in a place where players would most likely be little kids. My 5 year old had a tough time getting it in the hole. I recall thinking most of the holes were rather tricky.

Is it too hard for a 5 and 10 year old? Probably. Heck, it's difficult for my husband and I, two 50ish people with loads of miniature golf experience on our sides.

However, your daughter thinks it looks like fun and it is. Loads of it. For that reason and for that reason only, go to Fantasia! I will bet you are not the only one on the course with kids and I'll bet many kids will find the course "hard". The best thing to do is throw away the scorecard, keep to the six stroke limit and have fun. And let your daughters know that there are many adults who have to pick up the ball after six strokes so it's not a "bad" thing.

The best way to keep score on the course? Just add up the times a person didn't have to pick up the ball after six strokes. In this case, highest score wins. Easy.

DH and I have done Fantasia many times. We love it ! :cheer2: We tried Winterland/Summerland once, but , went right back to Fantasia. It can be challenging , but it is definitely loads of fun , go for it !

What bus do you take to get there?? It's by The Swan/Dolphin hotel correct??

Take the Swan bus from any park and once off at the Swan, go towards the Lake and take a left.
If you're coming from Epcot (World Showcase exit is the only option) or DHS, it'll be a boat. Or you can walk.

I love Fantasia Gardens! It can be a bit tough at certain holes, but the theme so makes up for that! I haven't done Winter/Summer Land so I can't make a comparison. I make sure to hit it up once every trip. During our last trip, DH, both of my brothers, and two friends played a round the night before our wedding and we had a BLAST. We were a bit on the noisy side, but we had so much fun watching each other make fools of ourselves because we were doing so poorly.

We thought Fantasia Gardens was much too difficult to be fun. We didn't even finish it. We went to Winter/Summerland several times and enjoyed it much more. My boys were 16 and 13 and my daughter 9 at the time.

That's why my suggestion of not even taking score was on target. Do the reverse - score when you don't take six strokes and then see who wins. That makes a fun time. And it works on the longer course too (we chucked that scorecard after three holes). And it's even better when the course is crowded because if you can't move up to the next hole, you can just play the one you are on over again and it doesn't matter. We asked the people behind us to join for a practice course for them.
