When we are there in May we are planning on playing miniature golf on one of our down days. We will be staying at BC during that time so we thought that Fantasia Gardens would be the best after our dinner at Cape May Cafe. We have played at the Winter/Summerland miniature golf (played on the Winter side) but wasn't sure how it compared. We are looking for something that screams Disney and would be fun, especially for our girls who just want to have fun and not worry about winning or losing. If we have to we will just go back to the Winter/Summerland one and possibly do the other side, but I wanted to get all of your thoughts first :goodvibes.

I love Fantasia Gardens and really feel like it embodies classic Disney. There isn't all that much Fantasia theming in the parks, so I think it's just a great option, plus you can easily walk from the BC!

I say give it a shot!

I just played the Fantasia Gardens course in January and it was really fun. Just exactly what you said, not competitive or difficult, just fun. There was one family there who walked away because it wasn't difficult enough for them. Much better players that I am, I suppose. I had a great time. :cheer2:

We were thinking of doing this on our "rest" day. We are staying at the BoardWalk Villas over Thanksgiving week. (9 nights) Either Wednesday or Thursday, I'm sure mom & dad could use a break. Our plan is to have breakfast at Cape May, play some miniature golf, let the kids swim, then wonder over to watch the fireworks at Epcot.

Fantasia Gardens is by far our favorite WDW course, and we are HUGE mini-golf fans. We've played just about every course that exists in the Myrtle Beach area. We've done Winter-Summerland before but it's been a while.

Fantasia Gardens is a lot of fun.

Be sure to read the verses (preferably out loud) at the beginning of each hole to set the stage.

Thank you all for your input, the course looks like a lot of fun. It's been quite a few years since we played mini golf at WDW and we were looking for something fun to do on a night that we had nothing planned. We are going to TL during the day so we thought a good dinner and then either walk or take the ferry over to Swan/Dolphin and play mini putt-putt would be good then if we had time afterwards, we would go see what movie was playing on the Beach at BC.

Robo, I have to ask, the second picture that you posted shows that we would have to get across a busy street to get to the Fantasia Gardens? If so, what is the best way to get over there, is there a bridge or something that crosses the street or would we have to take a cab or bus? We still want to play there but now I am trying to figure out how to get over there from BC.

You can certainly take a cab, if you like. There are cabs at the resorts.

But, if you choose to walk, it's designed for guests on foot.
There's a nice little crosswalk marked with "Pedestrian Crosswalk" signs on the divided road.
Not a problem.

Thanks Robo, when I saw the first picture I got a little scarred because it looked like it was a busy street that we would some how have to cross. This new picture sets my mind at ease :goodvibes.

I am so excited that we are going to play at this mini golf course. I am always trying to look for something new to do each time we go and this will be the perfect thing to do :goodvibes.

It isn't really a "busy" street. We've walked over to Fantasia countless times, and we rarely see more than car or two. I have to say that the cars that do drive on that road tend to move along at a fairly good clip, but it's a straight stretch and you can see for quite a distance either way when you stop at the crossing, so the cars don't take you by surprise. You shouldn't have any problem, as Robo so kindly noted and mapped.

Are the courses "putting green" types, or types with obstacles you have to hit around or through? (like hitting through a castle, etc...)

I can't wait to try this again when I am there next year. We have often done Winter/Summerland and only did this once many years ago. I don't even really remember much of it.

Does this count as a day on the "Waterpark, Fun & more" tickets?

I took my 5yr old to Fantasia Gardens a few years ago. We walked from the Swan and I remember crossing a road, but it was no big deal. Very low traffic. Anyhow, the golf was fun. Theming cute and very Disney with some interesting little effects. I'm glad we went, it was nice for a change of pace. Plus we were the only ones there!!!

DH and I are having a debate about this very question...he says yes, I say no. We have the Waterpark Fun and more option on our ticket and I told him that I thought that it is a 9 hole golf course that is included, not Fantasia Gardens.

2- not Fantasia Gardens.

1- Yes.

2- But, that choice is also true.

The WPF&M option now offers Fantasia Gardens and/or Winter-SummerLand Miniature Golf,
which can be used once per day at each location, but it must be done prior to 4:00pm.

^Thanks!

I wonder why it does not include evenings though? Usually that is the best time because how nice everything looks lit up. Though evenings are probably busiest, so maybe that is the reason for the limitation.

No doubt that's the reason.
Increase the daytime business to the courses.

Thanks Robo, I learn something new each day on these boards :goodvibes. Now I am debating whether or not to relay this along to DH :rotfl:.

I've never done any mini-golfing at WDW, but I am planning on doing it when I go down in two weeks. I figure I might as well use the free passes if they are giving them to me. Is the general consensus that Fantasia is more preferred than winter-summerland? I have no preference as I've never done it before. If anyone can offer any info on winter-summerland it would appreciate if. If not i'll opt for fantasia as it seems to be a thread favorite! Thank you!
