Fantasia Barrino tries to commit suicide??

Today Show segment coming up. She OD'd in an apparent suicide attempt. I thought things were going great for her, So sad.

I did not watch her movie based on her life...but I would guess thAt her fame and income solved some problems, they didn't solve all problems and may have created new ones. She seemed so resilient (sp?), but I guess that was just a facade. I hope she gets the help she needs so that she can watch her child grow up.

Apparently it is because she was having an affair with a married man for a year. It just hit the news when the wife filed for divorce and named her in the papers.

I guess she said she believe him when he said he was divorced and that she didn't know he was still married until the wife went public. also that there could be a sex tape out there.

Isn't that always the excuse though? "I didn't know he was married". If that is the case you really have to wonder. There where probably red flags that she ignored and if she was honest with herself there was probably a part of her that knew something was off from the beginning.


Yup, forgot about the sex tape. What the heck is wrong with people these days? Why does everyone wanna make a sex tape when they are famous? Do they loose all brain cells when they become famous? Do they not realize that these tapes ALWAYS get out there?

I think I heard (on TV) a recorded phone call to the wife where she went off about how he didn't want the wife anymore and that maybe next time she got a husband she could figure out how to keep him because this man was going to be with her (Fantasia).

I think they said aspirin and maybe a few sleeping pills. More a "woah is me" attention grab in my opinion.

Her 'spokesperson' said she knew he was married but he told her they were separated.

How about this ladies....NO MARRIED men, "separated" or not.

Court documents show in a phone call, Fantasia says, "He don’t want you. Maybe the next time that you get a husband you'll know how to keep him. That's why he is here with me."

On the radio yesterday a reporter also said the man and his wife had 2 children. The youngest around a year old. And that Fantasia had this man's name tattooed on her chest. Classy.

I heard this on local radio too. She was in the CMC hospital in Pineville. The 911 call from a home on Bevington (off of Elm); I wonder whose home that was. Does she live in Charlotte/Pineville? Anyway, I heard that her tattoo was removed; it
had been a heart with the guy's last name in it. WBT also reported that the guy had the same tattoo, but I wonder if he had her name in the heart. The report didn't clarify.

A couple of the articles about this noted that North Carolina still allows lawsuits for what they call "alienation of affection", where a spouse sues a third person for breaking up the marriage. Apparently there have been a couple of large awards and the articles said the wife was going to sue Fantasia.

I think she does live in Charlotte and maybe in the house the 911 call came from. They reported the two originally met at Stonecrest.

She lives in S Charlotte. I think it is one of those huge houses near Piper's Glen.
