Can anyone recommend a good spot to view Fantasmic? We have small children so we'd like to find a eating place for dinner and also allow us to view Fantasmic without fighting with the crowd.

thanks!

<font color=navy>You have a couple of options.

You can spend about $47 or $49 to sit up in the balcony section & have some refreshment while you watch the show, orrrr,

You can stake out a spot on the Riverbelle Terrace at around 5pm - these seats go quickly, and by 5:30 the terrace is usually full for the 9pm showing of Fantasmic. You can take turns saving a table while the other parent takes the kids on attractions. You can eat at that time, or later, and you can either have something off of that menu, and/or grab a burger from the Stagedoor Cafe right next door.

We've done this quite a few times, especially w/guests from out-of-town, or guests who've never seen the show.

If you opt to do this, get there early and try for a seat along the railing (corner next to the brick wall is the best). I've sat at an interior show, and had a father stand his child up on the chair, blocking our view the entire time - so I make sure to get the front (and save a couple of extra seats for children I see below who can't see the show & invite them to sit w/us).

If you'd rather spend your time having fun with the family, you might try for a decent spot on the ground by 6:30 or 7pm.

Since we've been so often, I don't mind sitting & holding the spot. I usually take a book, but normally end up talking to the people waiting next to me. :)

The Riverbell terrace is the only Restaurant where you can really view FDantasmic. The other two (in New Orleans Sqaure) are set down behind planters and the crowds block the view.

I highly suggest Fantasmic Dessert Buffet. It is reserved seating and cost some $ but I did it with a family of 4 and thought it was well worth the price. The seating is very limited approx. 16. You need to make reservations ahead of time (they allow 30 days I think) and I suggest not waitting any longer than that. I did it 28 days out and there were only 5 seats left for the last show of the night and I got 4 of them. The desserts were out of this world and they wait on you hand and foot.
:smooth:

Hi can someone tell me who I need to call to book this, we are going in October, and I definitely don't want to miss it and the Dessert buffet does sound rather tempting.

Thanks for your help guys :Pinkbounc

you may call the central dine reservation line and they will transfer you to the reservation line for Fantasmic.

I just booked mine.

Does anyone know if they do Fantasmic in the fall? We are going in September. We'll be there Sunday and Monday evening. Thanks!

I'd like to know if you think they will have Fantasmic anytime the
week of Sep29-Oct 6?

<font color=navy>To make a reservation call 714-781-3463 (DINE) ... or you can call 714-781-6575 for the information line - you'll get the operator and he/she'll transfer you. (The only company whose numbers I know by heart, lol)

As for the Fantasmic schedule, I've heard that it's going down right after Labor Day. The Mark Twain is scheduled for refurbishment, and then Fantasmic will be down until next summer. (I see a pattern here)

That would be really disappointing. Seems like a lot of things will be "down" when we go.

Mom_rules, call (714) 781-4400 for Fantasmic! reservations (this is the direct line) and ask them if they are opened during the period you are looking for. This is the no. I called to make my reservations just last week! Good luck!;)

I am totally bummed about the likelihood that Fantasmic! will be (is) a Summer Only attraction/show.

I'm on hold with them right now! I'll let you know...

Don't give up hope yet.. Just talked to a great CM

You can make reservation 1 month in advance for example if you want a reservation for
August 25 you call July 25.

The only things that have changed are:

The Balcony seating $47/person- you are seated in the order that you reserve your tickets - there are 21 per show only. Your credit card is charged on the day you make your reservation and a refund will only be issued if it circumstances beyond Disney's control (ie. rain, wind, technical diff).

They have a ground level water side section to the left infront of the third (of three) water screens that serves a prepackaged assortment of desserts in a gift box $47 for Adult $37 for kids.
These seats are issued on a first come first served when you get to the section (not by the ticket purchased).

So far they only have the schedule to the end of August (one month in advance)-for September they will have schedule in August, for October they will have schedule in September etc.
