Fanny packs??

Can we call it a "hip pack" for us guys that wear them...? I mean, who wears them on thier fanny? :confused3

My husband just laughed at me...even when I tried to call it a hip pack! He refuses to be a part of such a fashion disaster!! (like he has the most fashion sense anyway!) haha

To me disney has dress code all to itself...when else can a grown person wear funny hats, homemade t-shirts, socks with crocs, and fanny packs and fit right in....you got to love it !:grouphug:

I so agree...WDW is the only place in the world you can be a kid again and not care because thousands of other people are doing it as well...it just sucks when you have to leave and be a grown up again and dressing like one...what I wouldn't do to be a kid again on a daily basis...

my DH will have nothing to do w/ a fanny pack or a 'hip pack'. anyone have one of those Buxton Bags? (certainly not for DH or the kids, but perhaps that may work)

That was hysterical. I liked the pack in the video. hmmmm I wonder what brand it is?:lmao:

i wear a backpack lol.

my dad wears a fanny pack, the rest of my family laughs at him.

:rotfl2:

I sometimes use a fanny pack depending on what amount of time we'll be in the parks or if we're just going out to eat. For the really long days in the parks, especially if there are a lot of us on the trip, I have a cotton Mickey sachel. I picked it up on our trip in '05 at MGM. It is great for carrying bottled water, camera, autograph books and the like for 4 or 5 people. My nephew and kids affectionatly named it the "Disney manpurse". :cool1:

I have a small tinkerbell purse that is plastic lined and goes over the shoulder and holds what we have to have with us. The funniest part about it is that I am constantly making my boys ages 11 & 16 carry it. They do without thinking about it and then I purposely don't take it back. About 10 mins later, when they are seen with the tinkerbell purse over their shoulder they yell about it. By then, I am sooooo laughing at the situation. It takes a good hour or so before I can get them to "hold this" again. hahahahaha It is my job to give them reason for therepy.

You could probaly get one at a dollar store for like 1.00$

Hope you find one ! Have a magical trip!

Target has actually come out with a line of "belt bags" this season. I'm reluctant to use them myself because I'm "Pooh" sized and feel insecure but I thought they were a lot cuter than the typical fanny/hip bag. If it fits around me I might just use it. I mean who wants a tan line from your purse or backpack when you can wear one of these? :)

:rotfl: I do! I got one for my last WDW trip and I STILL use it. It a Mountainsmith pack. It's great! I can put my camera and a book in it! I love it. I have to remind people that it's not a funny pack, it's a lumbar pack. :goodvibes I would post a picture, but I don't know how, yet

That video is hilarious. But looking at fanny packs with water bottle holders makes me wonder: can you bring a refillable water bottle into the parks? i so have to get a ginormous fanny pack to torment my teenage daughter.

Ok, the way I feel about it is like this. If your comfortable wearing a "fanny" pack then wear one. I have a flat waist belt that I wear at the parks. It fits nicely under my shirt at the waist of my pants and holds my cards my money and maybe a tube of sunscreen. I have packs of all shapes and sizes and I found that they all eventually become heavy. This is the only one that doesnt. I do have a camera bag that I lug around, but I have the stroller to tote that monstrocity.

But for those laughing about the fanny pack, think about how funny it looks when someone has a bag slung over their shoulder that seperates the ****age area. Now thats flattering.

Yes. I was told you could bring food and drinks into the park.

I was wondering about those with bottle holders too. My girls are too young to really be bothered by what I wear yet so I may have to give one a try. I winder if I could get them to wear one too? They are only 5 and 3 now will be 6 and 4 by the trip, it might be kind of heavy for them with a full drink. But I think we will only have an umbrella stroller so no basket. And the more I can get others to carry the less I have to carry :rolleyes1
