Fanny pack, baggallini, camera case? How to carry it all

I am SOOOO confused. I have a Canon S3IS (or whatever it's called), not a small camera and I don't want to be loaded down like a pack mule. I am in charge of the tickets & fp's, so I'll need those handy. I also am the one to carry the mini medical kit (pepto, tylenol, advil, moleskin, band-aids) my eyeglass/sunglass case, a little travel thing of wet wipes, a couple ziplock bags, touring cards and park maps, as well as the camera.

I don't know how to best carry all of this in June without being too hot and/or uncomfortable. Last spring break, I didn't carry the camera (we were only here for 3 days & DH carried it) he doesn't have the hang of the new one yet. Anyway, I carried the tix & fp's in my front pocket of my very flattering purple Tink fanny pack & carried everything else in the lime green baggallini. I would like to go pretty much "hands free", but will probably wind up with the fanny pack & baggallini again, just to be safe.

How do you do it all? I like having the tix & fp's and money close by me in front in my fanny pack. I borrowed a friend's HUGE one, but if I put the camera in there, it's definately THERE! I'm thinking maybe just the Tink fanny pack & the camera case with the strap that I can wear across my body.

What & how does everybody carry everything? Will I want to keep my camera out quite a bit of the time to get the "not to miss pictures"? Any advice would be great, since DH came home the other night and caught me prancing around the house with ALL of it on, just to get a feel for it. He definately thinks I've gone nuts!!!

we just got back today and I loved having the baggallini-it's all I carried. I have a small camera so I carried it using the wrist strap all day.In the bag I had my wallet, medicine case, wipes, small ziploc with bandaids and moleskin (which we used quite a bit),touring cards, maps. It wasn't too heavy-and dh even carried it sometimes (we have a red one).

i've done it all - fanny packs, backpacks, purses

what i've finally settled on is a small shoulder bag from lesportsac

(#7133 www.lesportsac.com)

it's small, lightweight, and holds only what i need

i've also tried the basic hobo bag from lesportsac (#7520) - a little larger, for when i want to bring along the camera

anything larger, and i'm lugging more stuff i don't really need

I just got a "larger camera" for Christmas and this subject came up. We decided that DH needed to carry the large camera case, while I had the larger pack with all the other 'stuff' in it. I might still stick the smaller digi camera in the pack I carry just in case my DH isn't around with the camera when I need/want to take a picture. I hope this scenario works out for us.

I was having almost the same dilema as you a few weeks ago and I finally decided what I'm going to do. I also have a baggalini and a bulky (but love it!) S5 camera. There was no way I'm carrying two bags this time so I bought a soft camera pouch just to protect my camera in the bag, but still fits good in the bag with my small wallet, and everything else I need to carry. I got the pouch at :

I can't say how well everything will work, as we haven't gone yet, but I'm hoping this will be fine as I expect to have the camera around my neck most of the time!:thumbsup2

I have a Canon XT camera. I have a holster bag for it (eg it's just big enough to protect the camera) and we carry a small LLBean book back. The first aid kit, sweatshirts, wallet, camera, all go in the back pack, as does the camera bag. It's by no means full, but everything can be in one bag. I'd be likely to lose stuff carrying three different bags, lol.

I have the same camera (as well as a smaller compact camera that isn't nearly as good) and really want to take it with me. I have been considering doing the same thing as you, but can I ask what you do when you go on rides?

We have a 5 yr and 11 yr old and we will do some things together but will also likely split up one with each my husband and I to do the more age appropriate rides. It will likely be me that has the bag (as he would be the one to forget it somewhere :) ), but I wasn't sure what to do when going on rides. We've never been to WDW before so don't really know what to expect. I've read that some rides have a compartment for bags but what about the ones that don't? I don't think I would want to leave my camera on the side while I go on the ride.

Looking for advice from anyone who has experience :teacher:

I have the Canon S3Is and plan to just get a padded pouch for it and stick it in my Baggallini.

We're using the small Timbuk2 messenger bag for a camera (med sized), camcorder (small SD card sized), and everything else. It fits everything just fine. I would never wear a fanny pack, but that's just personal preference.

Oh, and Bama mom - not sure if you're a fan, but Roll Tide. 2005 alum.

I have a Canon 20D and usually carry an additional lens. I have the soft pouch a preview poster mentioned. When I go on the big rides, I put the camera in the pouch and it goes in the backpack. I tuck the backpack at my feet and put one foot through the straps. I haven't had any problems so far.
