Curious has anyone been to Famous Dave's Barbecue Restaurant? We went last weekend and the food was delicious!!! I love the ribs! They give you nice portions of food.

I love it. We have a new one here on Long Island and I think it's great.

We have been once, we dont have one here but there is one in the town where dsil goes to college. We all agreed that it was AWESOME. Even ds was chowing down.

This is a "must do" every time we go to the Jersey shore. The one we go to is in Brick and its great! We actually noticed that it looks like a mini Wilderness Lodge from Disney World (our DVC home)

We're going to get one in my area soon, and I can't wait! There are other barbecue places around that I like, but this one will be very close to where I live--so I expect to go there a lot. I hope they have good pulled pork!

As the DIS BBQ Guru.... I give the whole palce mixed reviews. Some good, some bad. Some food was way oversmoked. And sauce is kinda personal, but I didn't like ANY of them.

But the meats were good, especially the chicken.

Famous Dave's is based here in the Twin Cities, so there's a bunch of them around here. I've eaten there lots of times - I've always been a big fan. In addition to the ribs, I really like the catfish fingers and the chopped pork. Yum!

Famous Daves started here in MN and to my knowledge they do not take ressies. Some of our famous daves seat you and some you go and order and they give you a number thing (in the shape of a pig) and then they bring out the food to your table.

We LOVE it there! We get the huge family platter every time and there is such a great assortment on there!

I always get the loaded baked potato (butter, sour cream, cheese and bacon bits) instead of the french fries.

You are so right P.D. We have one that open up in Mass just a few months ago and it is NOT great. In fact we were there only twice because the first time we thought maybe it was just because it was new. We have a few really good BBQ places in our area so maybe that is why it has such big boots to fill ( in keeping with the BBQ theme).

We ate at the one in Saugus, MA on Monday night. I thought it was really good. Of course, someone from the south might disagree. But I really liked their sauce called "Devil's Spit". It is wicked hot, and I love hot food!

My youngest DD and I love it. We go before 5:00 and get the early bird special 3 bones 1 side corn on the cob and corn bread for $3 cheaper then if you go after 5 and get 1 more bone and another side.

We had Famous Dave's recently. We really loved it!!! I especially enjoyed the ribs!!
