Ok quick question and I apoligize if it's been asked a million times before but I'm in a time crunch because our 60daY window is open. I've already made selections for my family because we have annual tickets and the hotel is booked in my name. The grandparents are tagging along but just got their tickets today. Nothing will be in their name as far as the reservation so is it easier for me to just add their tickets to my MDE this time and book their FP for them? I have never linked up with anyone else's tickets in MDE before so I'm not sure what to do. Thanks!!!

Add their names the same way that you added the rest of your family.

Tickets can only be on one MDE account. If they haven't linked their tickets to their own MDE account and don't have any plans to do so, then you can create two new family members on your account and add their tickets that way.

Once you add them, it's hard to take them off! I have a separate account for relatives who sometimes travel with us.

It's annoying when booking dining reservations & FP (having to find my kids' names instead of clicking "select all") and managing MBs (makes it a very long list).

They haven't added their tickets to an account yet so I was thinking it would be easiest to just add them to ours for this trip only. When and if they were to go back with someone else or without us they should have no problem adding any new tickets to their own MDE... Right? I'm just afraid things will get tangled up if they add them to their account and then I try to coordinate fast passes. Just looking for the easiest option for this trip I guess!

Have a great trip!

The easiest would be for you to add them to yours. Then when they go again, whoever is managing the trip can add them to that MDE. Treat them like different people.

However, if they are getting MB on this trip and want to use them on the other trips, I'd suggest creating an account for them.

Thank you! I appreciate the input. It sounded the easiest to me but I just wanted to make sure. We had been linked up previously a couple of years ago as family when all of this got started but when we took a trip separate from each other each of our names were showing up on each other's reservations and Disney had to break our link in the system. I think things have improved since then but still wasn't sure!

I hadn't thought of the magic bands only working under my account. I guess they can just use this set on trips they take with us as long as I'm doing the planning.

Magic Bands are tied to resort reservations. Are they staying in a resort?

If they are not at a WDW resort, then you have to wait for 30 days to get their fastpasses.

As long as you list them on your MDE account, your open booking window is their booking window.

If you open a new MDE for them, you'll need to link their MDE to yours and then your booking window is their booking window. It really is much easier to add them to your MDE account.
