Family's of 5...Where do you stay?

The trundle that was there in August 2006 was the same size as the one we had in 1998, so I don't think that they have changed. I don't think that it would work for an adult, but my dd was 5'2" or so, and she thought it was fine for her. Of course, she was exhausted every night.

I'm an adult and 5'3"......I might be able to tolerate sleeping on the trundle for a night or two tops, but that's it. I don't think I would feel rested for a week long vacation on it. I understand kids are different and can tolerate/accept alot more than an adult would. For instance, my teen son (5' 10") last year slept on the daybed at the BC. It's not like a traditional daybed as far as size (particularily width) in my opinion. It's pretty narrow.....more like a very casual couch. We only stayed two nights there and he was fine with it, but I give him credit. It was not as large as I thought it might be and I don't think I'd be comfortable on it for a longer stay. But he was a trooper. The trundle is about half the size of the day bed at the BC.

Well, to clarify what I meant, the trundle would not be ideal for me as an adult. But... we love to camp. I have slept for a week on the table/bed in a camper. I have slept on a couch for several nights while vacationing at family's house during a family reunion. But as tired as we were by the time we got to our room each night... and the fact that I guess I like to sleep in the fetal position.... the trundle would have been just fine with me.

But that is my opinion. We want a nice room to wake up in and go to sleep in... but we do mainly that... sleep. So I think even as my kids get bigger and bigger, I would still love POR.
