Hi all. It's DH, DW, and 19 month old (when we travel) twins. We'll be staying at Pop and are wondering if we should do 2 pack n plays or bed rails on one of the beds.

If anyone has experience or suggestions we'd appreciate it.

What do they sleep in at home? We have done the bed rails once on vacation with our twins, and it was horrible. They kept waking each other up, and they managed to push the bedrails off a few times during the night and slip b/w the rail and the bed.

If they usually sleep in their own crib 2 pack-n-plays are the way to go - it's more crowded but it's worth it for them to get some sleep.

Maybe each adult take one baby and use a rail on one side??? I agree that if they have not slept together might be an issue but two beds in pop is going to leave NO move around room that little ones also need.

Totally agree, 2 pack and plays inside the room will not leave any room what so ever to move around.
DH and I have always each taken a bed and a kid. Some times I luck out with timing since DH travels for his job and both kids want to sleep with daddy because they missed him.

Best option is a bed rail on each bed and you and your DH each sleep with one of the kids.

PC rooms are far too small for two pack and plays. I would try the bedrails with both in the bed or one pack and play and the bed rails.

Agreed....with luggage and 2 pack n plays and if you have a stroller, you will have NO room to move in the Pop rooms. They are small!

My DH and I never sleep together at the pop since the beds are so small. I would do one adult with each kid and do a bedrail on the kids side of each bed.

When our girls were that age, we would move one bed against the wall and use bedrails on the other, sleeping one adult and one child per bed. It worked out really nicely. I think with two PNPs, you'll be really tight in that room. Have a great time!

At POP the beds are on pedestals so you can't move them over against the wall.

Maybe one in the bed and one in the pack n play? They can switch each night.

You could do two pack and plays. One against the door to the conjoining room (thats where we always put one). and you could stick the other one under the shelves by where the sink is.
Heck, if you are only using one bed (for you and your husband), throw all your luggage on that extra bed you aren't sleeping in.
If you plan on spending a lot of time in the room, it will be crammped, but even at that age we personally went from morning to night. My kids always slept in the stroller during the day, so we stayed at the parks all day.

I love Pop but I think two P&Ps would be a pretty tight fit; you could do it though, especially if you ask to have the table and chairs taken out of the room. As for bedrails, we just stayed at Kidani Village last month and had guest services put the resort's bedrails on the bed. It worked out fine. Our twins don't stay in the same room at home but they slept great together at WDW, which surprised us. When they were 10 months old we stayed in the cabins at Ft. Wilderness and managed to put two P&Ps in that bedroom, which is super tiny.

Yep this is what we did. Also for the few times we were in the room for an extended amount of time we took down one of the pack-n-plays and put it in the tub so they had a little extra room - but lets be honest even that was a nightmare with them at that age they were into everything drawers, toilet - you name it. We spent VERY little time in the room. For us it was worth them and us getting a good nights to have less space, and in the long run it wasn't that bad. But we also did two pack-n-plays when we took the disney cruise in a standard room so we will do whatever we can to get them a good nights sleep on vacation.

thanks for the advice ok so more question does pop have or will loan us pack in plays or do they have bed rails thanks for all the help

I'd advise against two Pak-n-Plays in a room at POP. As others have posted, POP rooms are rather small and if you have other larger items in your room, like a stroller or strollers, you'll have no room to walk. We actually stayed at POP in May for one night when we traveled with our twins. They were one-month-shy of three at the time of our trip. My DH slept with one twin and I slept with the other. Each bed had one bed rail and that is the side the twin slept on. We found this to work well for us.

They do have them but they are first come first serve. We've never had a problem getting pnp's, but it depends on when you are going and when you arrive.

You COULD do it..but like others said it would be tight. If that doesn't bother you, then go for it. We are a family of six. Little ones are 9,5,4,2. Our last vacation in October we stayed at POP...with two connecting rooms. My inlaws were with us for the first few days of our vacation, but after that there was more than enough room. I also packed two air mattresses. People swore that there was no way I could fit two air mattresses in one room, but I thought since I had two rooms I could split them up. Now, after actually seeing the air mattress blown up in the room...I'm sure I could fit another, but it would be tight. It didn't bother us though. BTW...the air mattresses were perfect for my 2 year old. He wasn't too far off the ground (and those floors are hard if they were to fall). Also, they were easy to move out of the way each morning to allow room to move around. What I did to make room was...nested all our luggage and stacked it under the sink. The air mattress I put on it's side up against the wall (we only ended up inflating one). I would fold the double stroller and leave it next to the door. The table and chairs I pushed in front of the window. I think we moved on of the chairs to the closet too. It sure was cozy, but we made it work. We really were only there to sleep though....too much fun to be had outside.

My first recommendation would be to request a room with a king bed. This leaves a lot more floor room and you would certainly have plenty of room for 2 P&P's.
We were able to have a P&P, fridge and double side/side stroller (open), and 2 suitcases in the king room comfortably.

If you should opt for 2 dbl beds, you can push the table against the wall (have the chair on adjoining sides versus across from each other) and put a P&P between the table and the TV center then the other P&P on the other side of the TV center in front of the connecting door.

I put the 'frame' things where you could put the P&P's. BTW, the table & Chairs aren't as big as it looks here.

Now that I'm thinking about it you could also put one P&P on the side of the bed closest to the door. I think it would fit. But honestly, you should be fine even with 2 P&Ps. Again the king room would be your best bet!

Thanks so much! These answers have all been great. I can't believe we even got a diagram. Very cool you guys.

I thik the King bed idea is PERFECT. 2 PNPs would be tight, but can be done. Since we get connecting rooms when we go, we put DDs PNP between the window (really where the wall juts into the room & the temp control is) and the tables. Another one would fit easily against the internal door to the adjoining room. single strollers fit easily next to one of the beds, so if you collapsed a double, you could put that there as well. Nesting the luggage & putting it under the sink or the closet would work well. There's also a shelf to the "closet" area.

My 20 mo old wouldn't sleep if I tried putting her in a bed right now, even with me. Maybe especially with me :lmao: And I don't want to introduce her to the concept of freedom from the crib anytime soon!!!:rotfl: My now 5 year old stopped napping and started waking up an hour earlier every day when we moved her to a bed at almost 3!!
