Family vacations besides Disney

I haven't been on many family trips with my daughter yet, but so far we've done Lake George, Cape Cod and Washington DC. This year we're doing Ocean City, MD and Disney. Next year it's going to be the California coast and DL. I also can't wait to take her to the Outer Banks in NC-we've had so much fun there in the past.

Grew up going to Ocean City with my family, we had some amazing vacations there! Have fun!

Second to WDW is Hawaii for us . Each island has it's own rewards from hiking to bike riding to whale watches . Great beaches and really nice people. Watching lava flow will give you goose bumps.

This year we did something different -our beach trips have always been to Destin (LOVE destin). this year we spent a week on a barrier island in the gulf - it was so peaceful. our most stressful decision was "beach or pool". We had no cell service, and spotty wi-fi. By far the most relaxing trip we've taken in several years - our previous two vacations were DC and Disney, neither of those has a high "relax" factor. :D

Useppa?

We've had a great time with our kids exploring Chicago, NYC and a few weeks ago we did Boston/Cape Cod. We have also done a Disney cruise and an all inclusive in Punta Cana.

We are headed to Disney in October, Atlantis in November and have Turks and Caicos booked for next May.

We love to travel with our kids

My two favorite vacation so far have been a 3 week trip up the coast of California from San Diego to San Francisco (with a side-trip to Yosemite), and 2 weeks in Hawaii (on Oahu and Hawaii). We've also enjoyed a trip to DC and London, and we're planning on some time in Paris and NYC.

Our children are grown and have children of their own but when they were still at home - the Southeast was our playground. We have hiked the Smokies and Blue Ridge Mountains, skied in North Carolina and West Virginia, had beach time in Alabama and Florida. New Orleans is our backyard so we have spent plenty of time enjoying her sights and sounds. We now travel with the whole group at least once a year. Doing some of the same things we have done in the past as well as expanding to the west. We have done San Antonio and the Texas Hill Country, northern New Mexico and skied Breckenridge, CO.

With a 3 year old it IS tough! Last year we went to Yosemite and Lake Tahoe. Truly AMAZING and beautiful. I cannot describe how amazing Yosemite was. We are not huge hikers but did just fine.

Just got back from beaches ocho rios it was amazing we already booked to go back 2016 as wdw is booked for 2015. We also love cruising .

We just came back from Bar Harbor, Maine and our 6 yr old and 2 yr old both loved it. Peaceful and relaxing. Acadia Nat'l Park is gorgeous.

Another favorite spot is Monterey, CA. Awesome aquarium and beaches.

We are about to go to Chicago and I am very excited to take the kids there.

Another poster listed South Dakota and I couldn't agree more. We haven't been with kids but DH and I drove through and were amazed by how much there is to see there.

I wish I was paid to travel/vacation!
