Family Traditions.

My first "all you can eat" was in Orlando , it was called the "Purple Porpoise", ,,I was a young teen at the time.

Deb and Al, too bad reality shows weren't around when you grew up. You would be famous and rich.

Trust me when I say this....there rarely were dull holidays in our home!! :lmao:

Al will have to tell you about the time he and our brother cornered our mom and pelted her with wooden bullets from a kiddie version of a gatlin gun!! Yes....back in the 50's us kids were deluged with unsafe toys....that were made in....AMERICA!! The crap came from Japan. I think my brothers even had a bazooka that shot ping-pong balls. The good ol' days!

They didn't have neat toys like that for girls. Little girls got kiddie hand mixers that would rip your hair out, dolls with highly flamable clothing (and don't forget that 99.9% of adults had several lit cigarettes sitting in ashtray's all over the house at any given time), and little bitty Barbie doll shoes you could easily aspirate....you know....lame stuff.

We protect our kids far too much these days. In the old days you had to learn early to respect toys with moving parts!!! :rolleyes1

When I was a kid our Christmases were very poor. We couldn't afford tinsel. We had to wait for grandpa to sneeze.

:lmao:
