Hi everyone. This is my first pre - trip report. We are Disney fanatics! We live outside of Boston, MA and will be at Disney from November 20th through the 28th. First let me introduce everyone:

Fiona is 8, and in 2nd grade. She is a very sweet child and is probably spoiled beyond measure.

Favorite Park: Magic Kingdom

Favorite Character: Maleficent

Favorite Movie: Currently every movie – without princesses!

Also coming along on this trip is my SIL, Karalee. Karalee is a Florida resident and an annual pass holder, we are excited to spend the holiday with her – as we don’t get to spend much time with her.

So I’m going to spend the next few posts listing what has been determined and decided, and what needs to be done.

One of the reasons we are doing this particular trip is because of our bucket lists. My husband and I made lists of things we wanted to do while our family was still “young”. We had watched so many of our family regret not doing things when their kids were small, so we made a list of our own. So far over the last five years, have gone to Hawaii, Boston Red Sox Spring training, California wine country, Disneyland, Legoland, and of course WDW. We are also closing in on a few other things we wanted to do … we are in the middle of our long awaited kitchen remodel, and I am in the final stages of finishing my first children’s book.

One thing that I have always wanted to do was see/experience Christmas at WDW. However we didn’t want to leave family during the holidays, or have Fiona miss “too much” school, so we decided on a Thanksgiving trip. Fiona will miss three days of school (and a ½ day) which isn’t too bad.

The three of us will be staying at the Polynesian, while my SIL is staying at Port Orleans. She was bummed that there was no room at the Poly when she booked – but I think it will work out in everyone’s best interest, it will give us all some space and allow for much needed downtime.

We chose a studio at the Polynesian, which I am so excited about. We have always wanted to stay here and the studios look awesome. The two bathrooms – bliss! (even better that one has a detachable shower head – so much easier for the kid!)

We will also be there when MOANA comes out! I am such a Hamilton freak, I saw it with some girlfriends with the original cast! So I am excited to hear the music Lin Manuel Miranda wrote for this movie. Even my anti-princess girl is excited about this movie!

Hello there  Joining in as we'll be there for Thanksgiving also, the 19th through the 26th. We went last year for Thanksgiving and had a great time despite a couple snafu's.......DH and I stayed at the Poly in a studio on an adults only trip in January and the rooms are so nice! Even though it was only 2 of us I agree having 2 bathrooms will definitely be a plus. Sounds like your planning is off to a good start! Look forward to reading more :goodvibes

We have almost all of our ADRs booked, we normally will eat breakfast in the room, or as a snack in the parks and lunch we go back and forth between counter service and table service.

Sunday: Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge (dinner)

Monday: Tiffins at Animal Kingdom (dinner) This is a new spot and we are super excited to try it out, along with the night time stuff at AK.

Tuesday: 50s Prime Time Diner (lunch) and Brown Derby (dinner) both at Hollywood Studios

Wednesday: Teppan Edo (lunch) in Epcot and Yachtsman at the Yacht Club (dinner) (SIL will be going to Boatwrights for Dinner since she is vegetarian and doesn’t like anything at the Yachtsman)

Thursday – THANKSGIVING: Kona Café (breakfast) and Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show both at Polynesian.

Friday: O’Hana, for 3, may change this since we are spending so much time at the Poly the day before. It is the only ADR that I haven’t been able to update to 4 people since my SIL decided to come for the whole trip.

Saturday: Jiko the Cooking Place (Dinner)

Sunday: BOG (Dinner) WOOOO! Before the MVMCP.

15 days until we can make FastPass+ reservations. I am so excited.
