My daughter is gettting married at WDW (hopefully in Dec 2011) and we were looking through the Disney passport book and I saw that they had mentioned that there was the availability of having your dinner family style (kind of a cross between plated and buffet) and I was wondering if anyone has had their dinner this way, if so what did you like or dislike about it? Was it less expensive than a buffet? Thanks for sharing

I can't really help with all of your questions, but I just wanted to let you know something I was told. Originally we wanted family style because I am picky and have allergies so I hate plated meals and buffets aren't very formal. I was told that the Grand Floridian doesn't normally do this so they advise against it, as it would not be as good as their plated or buffet service. I am not sure if they are even doing an event at the GF but I just wanted to pass along that information.

Thanks so much for your help. We are hoping to have the reception at GF and I was just looking ahead to all of our options.:)
