Family Restaurants Outside the Park

Hello all,

What are your favorite family restaurants outside the park? And which have the best deals? I read somewhere that IHOP offers free kid's meals on certain days. Is this true? Any other money saving tips for dinner outside the parks?

Ihop is of course always a great deal. I like red robin. mmm.

We love Mimi's right across the street on Harbor, great food, good protions, decent prices

Another vote for Mimi's Cafe - really like their food. I have heard from reports on here that IHOP is overpriced. Denny's is okay, but I also think slightly higher prices. Nearby on Harbor you'll find a Coco's & Bakers Square.

Another Mimi's fan here. I also like Storyteller's Cafe, but it is higher priced. White Water Snacks is great, much more casual. I think IHOP is awful, so I wouldn't really choose to eat at one, but it usually gets recommended by someone, so maybe the one near DLR is OK... I also hear a lot of people going to Tony Roma's and Joe's Crab Shack. I've never been to either one. I think Catal is good, but I think it's pretty expensive. Maybe ESPN zone would be a good place. I hear a lot of raves about the food, and we were finally going to try it this trip, but we still didn't go over there! Maybe next time.

When we were at DLR in May, kids ate free at Denny's on Tuesdays. Not sure if this is still the case though.

And another vote for Mimi's Cafe. We have to go there at least twice every time we visit DLR. Like the others have said, the food is great, prices are reasonable and portions are huge. A way better value for your money than a lot of the other restaurants on Harbor Blvd. IMHO. And....I really like the atmosphere too.
