Family Reaction To My Loss

Well,

I have returned from my family Easter get-together!!

The overwhelming reaction was............ WOW!!!!!!

My sisters could not stop walking over to me and alternately looking at me closely, or patting my belly. LOL

I was then subjected to a one hour dissertaion on the relative merits of Atkins. It appears that one of my sisters is definitely going to try it, and another brother in law is leaning towards it.

They all were amazed that I had achieved so much so quickly, and were also surprised that I was sitting there calmly eating healthy Atkins foods without having to have had my sister cook especially for me.

My son kept running up to everyone beaming about my success, and he was glowing as if it were him who had lost it!! LOL

All in all a GREAT day!!!

I, too, got a compliment from my Mom. She asked if I lost some weight and that I looked great!!!

Don't you find your kids are your biggest cheerleaders? My dd who's 10 thinks mom's just gonna blow away anytime.LOL She's always complimenting me and cheering me on. Even will watch the tirplets while i exercise (only if they go outside when i'm done of course.LOL) Congradulations John you deserve it you've worked hard for your loss and i'm proud your family was WOW'd! I am 3 pounds from what I had set as my "original" goal, but after seeing the results I have so far, I have set my sights on a total goal of another 20 or so pounds.

It's nice to be noticed in a good way! Atleast they were positive about Atkins. So many people think it's an unhealthy diet. I feel like I'm always trying to justify it to my extended family.
