Does anyone know of any local photographers that do really nice family portraits at the resorts? I don't like Disney's new plan. $150 for 20 min session or $350 for a longer one. Alot of people use the Arndt's I think, but they are booked. Open to suggestions!

We just booked our Family pics with Portayable Photography..she has a really great blog you can see examples of her work

They are a little more but they are 1/12 hours at the resort of your choice We booked the session for 375 which included edited photos and a disk I felt it was the best option after I looked into Disney's photography and for the 350 you did not receive a disk of images. Check her blog out really great pics

Head over to the wedding board. The Dis Brides are always talking about photographers.

We had the Arndts do our wedding, and were so happy they did. But they seem to be so much busier now.

You'll get lots of great suggestions over there, and the photographers should be able to do a shoot at any resort, if they can fit it into their schedule.

Best of luck.

I've been thinking about doing another portrait session next year. We've done 2 in the past and next year will be 3 years since our last. DD has changed a lot in that time!

I'm sure there are some photographers who post on here who have said that they do it/would do it too.

Shoot I would do it for half the price they are charging :lmao:

I wasn't kidding when I said I'd use someone I 'knew' from the boards if I did it, if it was worthwhile for all involved. I'm a big supporter of helping the 'little names' get a chance. It's not like it's a wedding or something. It's photos. I just want the digital images with a similar limited release for personal use like the one we get from Disney. I think many folk would be happy with that. I'm probably a bit of a waste of a client because we just do the 'small' 20 minute session (no touching or anything) and that's perfect for us but for those doing the bigger package I'm sure there is a whole untold number of options about

I actually prefer being at a resort to being at a park for these because we always do Photopass and I feel we get so many park and character photos. It was just a thought
