family pool question

When we went last year on the Wonder in June, the family pool was closed for painting. Does anyone know if this pool is open when you board the ship? I've seen alot about the mickey pool, and I know it is open. I know they have the send off party over the covered goofy pool. Is it open or are they getting ready for the party? Thanks!

This past January it was definately open when we boarded at 12:30. We hit the Mickey Pool first, grabbed some lunch and fresh fruit before splashing around the Goofy Pool. Yes, they do cover it up later, but I'm not sure what time...maybe while we are all at the mandatory drill.

It was open when we boarded. My favorite photo of the week was one the ship's photographer took of us in the Goofy pool before the safety drill.
