Family of the Day

We were Family of the Day at AK. We were there early and the guy just picked us out at random. I will say that that day we were wearing less Disney gear than other days. We were also obviously excited as we were checking our park maps to figure out the quickest way to the Safari. From what I've seen it's always a typical, happy American-though we're Canadian-family.

We will have to get there early then.. That would be cool if we got picked, but it wont make or break the trip, we are just excited about going!!!

We were just at Disney 4/17 - 4/24 our family (me, hubby 2, 4 and 7 year olds) + my Dad. We had breakfast at Cinderellas Royal Table and when we came out we were waiting for the park to open. My hubby had been talking to a CM about getting our stroller as they had moved it past the ropes... He wasn't too happy as we wanted to get the kids strapped in for our mad dash to space mountain. Anyway the were TONS of CM's standing around with Mickey Gloves and waiting and the lady come back and asked us where we were from and told us we were family of the day in Fantasy land!

We got to open that park of the park and were sprinkled with confetti!!! Very cute my boys were in matching ourfits and my 4 year old dressed as cinderella, just adorable.

We got to pick the first ride of the day in Fantasy Land anything we wanted (teacups)and were given certificates signed by all the princesses. Also fast passes for Mickeys Philaharmonic....

It was so cute, we even made to to Space Mountain and later on when we were back in Fantasy Land serveral CM's remembered us and asked us how our day was going. I just LOVE Disney!!!!

Ok now I am sad... I want to go back!

Congratulations DjdBrit!! What a wonderful, magical memory!! Happy Mothers Day to you and all the other Moms reading the thread!!

I love reading all of these stories about these wonderful, special memories. It is those huge smiles on everyones' faces that make it so worth it!

Myself & DBF were lucky enough to be picked as Test Track Family of the Day at Epcot in April. It was fantasitc!!

We had just hit the stand by queue, which had a wait time of 80 minutes, and was planning on waiting that long, figuring out that once we'd be done there, our FP's for Soarin' would be due.

We had literally just stopped to wait and a wonderful CM approched us and asked where we were from. We told them England and they announced that was just what they wanted! They whisked us both off to join another family of 4 from the UK and announced that we were all TT FotD!!

We were taken V.I.P. to the front of the queue and hopped in our car to ride, it was awesome! We pulled back into the station, only to be asked 'Do you want to ride again?' Of course, the answer from all was YES! We unclipped our seatbelts, re-clipped them and we were off again - for a 2nd trip!

It was an amazing experience, one I'll never forget and have told everyone about it since we got home. A little bit of Disney magic goes a long, long way!! :thumbsup2

How cool Tinks1984!! Congratulations!!! What a wonderful magical memory!
And to be able to ride it twice...wow!
