I forgot to mention the dates of our trip. Day 3 is December 20.
Family is:
Tom - hubby
Sherrie - wife
Heidi - daughter
Raymond - son
Everyone groaned when the phone went off at 6:30. Heidi answered it and thought that it was great that Mickey woke them up. Breakfast in the room with refillable mugs of hot chocolate. We get to MGM around 8:15. Not bad. Our first ride was Star Tours. It was great. Everyone loved it. I cannot remember the order of our attractions but in the course of the day we did Muppets 3D Theatre (kids loved it), Indiana Jones (Heidi liked it, Raymond was bored), Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground (both kids loved it, we spent a lot of time here), Rock n Roll Roller Coaster, fast passed it (only Sherrie and Raymond did this, other two were chicken). It was a great roller coaster. Tower of Terror (only me, Sherrie) once again everyone was chicken. I fast-passed it. This ended up being our longest fast-pass line at approximately 20 minutes. Still worth it. I loved TOT, of course. Also did Chinese Theatre ride where they show you movies from the past, I have temporarily forgot the name. It was interesting. While on Mickey Avenue Tom and Raymond went to the washrooms, Heidi and I waited by a plant for them to come out. Who do we bump into but Andy Mation. He threw us tons of trivia on Pluto and Mickey and ended up making Heidi the only free souvenier she will ever get from WDW, a balloon Pluto. It was really cool. During the course of the day lots of people asked us where we got it from. Unfortunately, it did not make it back to Canada but was a great decoration in our resort room. Anyway, Tom and Heidi did BackStage Tour, which they claimed was great. Raymond was tired so he took a short nap (10 minutes on my lap on a bench. While the other two were on BST, Raymond and I got to see some characters and get some autographs. My favourite was Cruella de Ville. She was absolutely priceless, definately played the part well. Kids got to see Buzz, Woody and Jesse, that made them really happy. Ended up having dinner at Pizza Planet. My kids are Toy Story freaks. Pizza and salads were good, once again, pricey but oh well. I think it was around 6:30 by now so we wanted to head over to Fantasmic and wait. This is what we did. We had great seats near the front. The pre-show before the actual show was fun, and of course there was the show. Fantasmic is great. Neither Tom or I have ever seen such a great fireworks display in our lives. It definately was worth the wait in the cold. During the show we bought some hot chocolate, this produced two more refillable mugs to bring back to the room. After the show we were planning on going to Osborne lights, but the kids were too tired, so back to the resort.
When back at the resort, the kids got a neat surprise with the stuffed animals arranged in front of the room window. Both kids though that it was great. Bedtime was a little late because of crowds getting out of MGM, but I think the kids fell asleep as soon as their heads hit their pillows
