Family of 6...

We're a family of 6 also, we used to book 2 rooms at the Polynesian or 2 rooms at Wilderness Lodge (with an AP discount). We then became DVC members and now stay at a 2 bedroom villa.

You can check out the rent/trade thread and possibly rent a 2 bedroom from a DVC member. Or, the Wildnerness Cabins hold 6, however I haven't stayed there so I can't provide any information. If your kids are younger, possibly a deluxe room at the W. Lodge, I believe they accommodate a family of six. You could also choose two rooms at a Moderate or Value resort.

There are a lot of options to choose, it depends on your preference.

Hope that helps.

We are a family of six and there is two rooms at the moderate or value resorts or the wilderness cabins hold six and then family suites at the allstars hold six too.

Thanks for the quick replies!!!

We are a family of 4, we are renting at AKV.. We are going with a family of 6, they asked what their options were and I had no clue... :)

Thanks a bunch, will probably direct them to rent some points, but they need almost twice as many as we do staying in a studio..

Yes, the Family Suites at All Music will also sleep 6.

DH and I stayed in a Family Suite at All Star Music ( a value resort) last Sept. (2006)

We really enjoyed the Queen size bed, the kitchenette with the microwave, having a sofa and cushioned chair to sit on and relax after a day at the parks before retiring for the evening.

I thought the pullouts very comfortable.

They are designed so the back cushion and seat cushion of the pullout support the pullout. There is no meatle bar to hurt the sleepers back.

What ages are your kids? I'm a family of 6 too and are planning on going in June 08 and are currently looking into the Polyn. My DS will be 9 as his twin my DD #1, DD #2 will be 5 and DD #3 will be 18 mo. DD #3 is one of the main reasons we are thinking of staying at the Poly to have more "immediate access" via the monorail. shorter travel times and access to the character bfasts and kids extra magic stuff at the GF.

This is our second time with kids (just 3 then). And my DH and I have stayed at the AS Sports before and remember the horrible bus lines going back after a long day and that was in the value season.

Just curious if your kids were young and how well you recommend this?

Thanks,
pre-planning for 08

Really, the FW cabins are GREAT! They sleep 6 with 1 queen and 2 bunks in one room and a queen-size murphy bed in the living room. Full kitchen. BUT, only 1 full bathroom. They are nice and quiet, no wall-sharing with neighbors. Plus, it's fun to go to MK on the boat. DH and I will stay there by ourselves next time. :thumbsup2

I think the beds in the cabin are full size (doubles) not queenx.

Renting points will depend on when you are going. And a two bedroom is going to be a whole lot more than a studio.

My family of 5 always stay in two connecting rooms and it works well for us. Of course, my twins are 18 and more "adult" anyway.
