Due to many different factors we are going to have to scale down our trip a little and are planning on splitting our stay. We are staying 5 nights at either a value with 2 rooms, or 1 room at POR and then 2 nights at the GF:love: (where we spent our honeymoon). I cannot seem to make up my mind so I'm asking for opinions. There will be 2 adults and dd11, dd9, ds7 and ds 3 1/2 months. If I decide on a value with 2 rooms which one should I choose?? I've already stayed at ASMusic so I want to try a different one this time. Thanks for any suggestions!:goodvibes

Hmmm...that's a tough one. If it helps I was trying to make the same decision for my family of five...2 adults and our 4-year-old triplets. We decided on POR...for the reasons...scenery so much nicer and to me a better resort "feel"..also the high rated pool with slides for the kiddos and the added bonus of the boat to downtown disney. We won't be in the room that much...and your kids are older so you probably won't either...although with a baby maybe you'd want another room for naps? good luck!

In all of our trips, since the DD's have started going, we have gotten two rooms. Much easier for naps. We have always been able to get connecting rooms. We check in early to help with getting the rooms connecting even with the notes in out reservation.

We are traveling with a few extra people this time. My DM and DA are coming with. We have 2 rooms at WL and one of my DD's is listed on their room. We have requested connecting rooms because of this. But we are also getting in very early.

Now with this said - POR is a great resort. Can your older kids be quiet in the room toallow the little one to sleep? They have a great pool. Maybe you could have the older ones swim with one of you while the little ones rests.

Totally agree with the other posters - 2 rooms = 2 bathrooms. It would be so much easier to get ready in the morning. Also, it is nice to have a room to put the younger kids to bed and go in the other room to watch tv or hang out with the older kids.

my family and i are going down nov 26-dec 4 for MVMCP and we are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) my mom was supposed to go, but because some unexpected bills came up she isn't able to go, so we had already booked the 2 rooms and i requested that they be connecting rooms - when she backed out, we were left in the same situation - do we keep the ressies at POP or should i upgrade to POR - and as of right now I think we are just going to keep the ressies at POP for a few reasons:

a. 2 bathrooms with 5 people - way easier and quicker to get ready in the am (this reason was the most important :rotfl2: )
b. we can have an adult room and kid room if we want
c. i've wanted to stay at POP for a while ( :lmao: )

POR is a nicer resort and you can only stay in one room until your baby is older.Stay at POR now and try 2 value rooms on a later trip.

I would go with the 2 rooms at a value. More room, 2 t.v.s, 2 baths.
We are 5 & stayed at the POR & it was alittle tight, but we don't stay in the room. Anyway, we chose POP next year over POR after our cruise.

Good luck!!!

Two rooms, two TVs, two bathrooms. Having two rooms will help when the baby is sleeping and the older kids are in and out to the pool, watching TV, etc.

We're a family of 4 and we always get 2 rooms.

I love the 2 rooms, 2 baths, 2 TVs.

The only value we've stayed at was the ASMovies. We really enjoyed our stays there. In fact, our DS13 still asks if we can stay there again.
