Family of 5, which resort?

Help, I am confused and need clarification. I was under the impression that there were only 4 adults allowed and 1 child under three in the value resorts but have recently read that people came into their room and there was a cot there and other posts stated that it is sometimes allowed. They also said that the sales people/reservations never allow this, but that CMs at check-in stated that it is allowed. Of course I have also read that it is a huge nono punishable by banishment.... (Oh no!!!!! ) What's the scoop, anyone with experience?

I cant find availability for CR but a wing room starts at around 250/night roughly. so you are looking at around $1930 per family for a week stay.

3 rooms at pop is going to run you $1875 roughly.

2 rooms at POR is about $2170 total or 1085 per family.

A Cabin 1875 per family for a week.

Good morning all!

I am currently planning a trip, possibly a magical gathering, for some friends and family. We have two families within our group that have 5 people in the family. The ages of the children will be 3,6,10 in one group and 4,10,12 in the other group when we leave for WDW. Which resort would be best for us? The other groups, at the most might have 4 adults in a room.

We know the kids will want to stay at a value resort, but can we squeeze everyone in?? I know that Disney won't allow more than 4 in a room at the Value resorts, but we can work around that.

What does everyone think??

Why do the kids want to stay at a value resort? Because of the themeing?

Just wanted to mention that the Polyensian and the Contemporary standard rooms sleep 5 without getting a deluxe room. You will have more room at either of these resorts since they have the largest standard rooms on property anf the new rooms at the Polynesian have two queen beds and a day bed that is atleast a twin if not larger. Infact I believe the new daybeds are more like a double when folded out. Also there are lots of activities for the kids to enjoy and better transportation options than a value resort.

Take a look at the cabins in Fort Wilderness. They are ideal for families and have a lot of activities for the kids.
