I've gotten several different answers from MS, but I'm wondering what do we do when we go down to WDW as a family of 5? My daughter will soon be out of her crib and I've been told that there are not cots in any of the resorts. We usually get a 1BR and I do not want to use points for a 2BR when we don't need that much room.

I guess my questions are: What have families of 5 done in the past? and What is the official stance at MS?

Thanks, in advance for your help!

I have asked this question of MS myself, and feel comfortable with the response I received from them. This topic always gets banned from this board. MS can somtimes give inconsistant responses to this question, but generally you are told that no towel or bedding are supplied for the fifth person in the unit.

Enjoy your stay!

The 'official' stance is that occupancy limit on a one bedroom is four plus one child under three. This is also very clear on the DVC doculents and agreements you entered into.

Presently, MS will take your reservation and no one will do bedchecks. DVC does not provide cots, roll aways or any extra bedding, and they will make that clear to you when reserving.

Basically, unless they start cracking down, which they could do at any time, you will be fine as long as the kids are young.

Eventually, you will need a two bedroom.

Think about, five people, the youngest 12, and one bathroom, a two bedroom is the only way to go. You can also bring along a friend, maybe even little cousin Ernie!!!!

Occupancy is listed as 4 plus a child under age 3 in a 1BR villa at all DVC Resorts. There is bedding provided for that number of guests and no extra bedding supplies will be supplied.

DVC is not likely to count heads in your room.

If anyone has further comment to add it is welcome on the Debate Board.
