So my wonderful Inlaws have given us the present of a lifetime... A paid trip to Walt Disney World!!!! The catch the family is going. Okay so let me introduce everyone (all 16 of us) Me(Holly) Dh(John) DSil (Amy)soon to be Dbil (Jon)

Du(Jim) Da (Ronda) DCousin(Josh) Oaky so this is my family there are also Amy stb mil inlaw (wilma) Amy sts stepdaughter (emily) and a friend of wilma's going. This isn't including the 3 family memebers that are staying home. Jack My 1 1/2 year, Rachel 2 and Ryan 5. The babies are staying due to the June heat and Ryan is my stepson and his mom won't let him go.
Now I know what some of you are thinking.... Yes we are crazy to be traveling with such a big group, but hey there family right!

So now that intros are done,on to the fun stuff. I don't know if anyone has ever planned for a party of 16, but let me tell you it is impossible. Here we are at 5 weeks left untill we leave(June 8th-15) and guess what............
Not a single Adr, Gasp the horror !What are these people thinking not having any adr for a group of 16. We will never have a sit down meal the whole time we are there. Now to set the record stright I have called all of them about a million times to set up a meeting so we can plan. Everyones to busy. Fine I am going to let them eat counter service the whole week. Dh and I will have adr as soon as I can get him to tell me where he wants to eat. (did I mention that this is his family's trip If it were mine we would have adr book on the first day allowed.)
Well that all I have time for now My son is wanting to go outside and play. Hope you enjoyed this so far I'll be back with more and maybe some plans

I went with 14 people this past October, and I was the "trip planner" in charge of doing it all! For the most part, all went well.. No major meltdowns, 11 of us were on DDP, 3 were not, so we did have ADR's everyday, but if it were cs meals, we just picked/choosed, all had cell phones & met up afterwards..... Stay cool, calm & collected and you'll survive! I can now proudly say that we made rope drop every day, we were at the bus stops by 7:30 a.m!!

Can't wait to hear more and if you need any tips just pm & let me know!!!

Thank you! I'm glad to hear that someone has gone on a trip with so many and lived to tell about!!

So after a long talk with the inlaws we will be holding a planning meeting. The date is still up in the air. I spoke with my sister in law (jamie) she is staying with dh and I in a two room villa. We will also be shareing a car. The only thing we have planned is to go to the store when we get there for some food. We plan on cooking breakfast everyday we are there to save on money. My sister in law is a single mom with 2 little girls, and no help from her ex husband.( well I can't say none he pays for daycare and thats it)> I have to cut this short as my one year old is undressing and now I have to chase him to get his shirt back on him!

How on earth can you make rope drop at all with that many... and kids???
:worship:

I must be traveling with the wrong groups! This time, I think we'll go by the literal, "you snooze, you lose" policy. My dh and 2 ds's wll be out with me, while everyone else will just meet us later on. (That's dh's bro, sis, aunt, cousin, & grandpa for this trip. Last time it was my bro & sis-in-law that kept us from getting out early.) Seriously... we're only with them a few days there... I hope they realize there are only two mornings to worry about getting up early!

How did your trip go with that many people?
