We are traveling with my MIL who needs an ECV for her arthritis (can walk, just not long distances without a challenge). She has done WDW before with an ECV and is a pro at Disney transportation with the ECV. We are thinking though of booking the DVC Soarin Tour which requires a 7am checkin at EPCOT and disney transportation will not be running at that time. What is the best way to get her and her ECV there? If it weren’t for the ECV, Uber or Lyft would be the obvious solutions. We won’t have a rental car or van.

Thanks in advance!

Uber and Lyft have accessible options. If you want a more guaranteed good experience order an accessible Minnie Van (through lyft but run by Disney). The accessible Minnie vans are setup where you can just drive the ECV on. They are quite a bit pricier than a regular uber/lyft but worth it depending on perspective.

Mears offers accessible taxi vans. ECV goes up a ramp. Same price as a regular Mears taxi.

Edited to add check prices at EPCOT resorts including Swan, Dolphin and Reserve. Scootering to EPCOT is the easiest.

Thank you all for the advice. If we go with the Minnie Van, do we need to order it significantly in advance? The Minnie Vans would be our preference. Or is Mears preferable because of having a bigger fleet?

It can depend on the time of day but the times I ordered Minnie Vans they around in less than 15 minutes.

Since you would need an accessible van, I would check the app to see if you can schedule it in advance (for Minnie Van).

Mears is priced the same as a regular taxi. Significantly less expensive then MV.
