Has anyone ever done this? My daughter read about it in her Burnbaum guide and would love to do it. We have a 14 DS, 8 DD, and 1 1/2 DS. I know I've seen something about this before but can't remember where. SIGH, the joy of having 3 kids.

We've done it twice. We did on trips with our DD (both 5 at the time) on separate trips with them alone (that is, we gave each DD at trip withh mom & dad and without the other DD).

We had a great time! You will get to act very odd throughout the MK (crawling on the floor to surprise Sonny Eclipse was my favorite!).

The less crowded it is, the more chance you might get to go on a ride. With my oldest, we had a large group (so large, we lost one kid for a little bit - he has a habit of wandering off, acording to his folks), so we did no rides. With our youndgest, it was just us and one other family on the tour during a less busy time, so we rode Pirates and then the two girls (mine and the other family's) rode Peter Pan WITH Peter Pan. How cool is that?

But I think that there is an age requirement for this tour. The reason I think this is that I was wanting to do this tour with my DH and my DD who will be 2.5 and I think I remeber that the kids have to be at least 4 or 5 :confused3 :confused3

Can someone verify this for me??

I figure if the littlest one can't go then DH or I will stay with him and the other will take the older two.

We did this in October, and here are my thoughts:

While my DS is 9, he has a wild imagination and I thought he would love this tour. He REALLY bordered on being too old for it. We definitely would not do it again.

The adults on our tour didn't participate, which I have heard makes a big difference. Mostly the adults just observed the kids.

There was a very small girl on our tour, about 2. She rode in her stroller but didn't really participate. She had a sister who was about 4. The kids who were old enough to understand (about 5 or 6) seemed to appreciate it without being too old.

I don't think there are age restrictions on this one, but I do think you pay the same price for everybody.

I thought it was fun. The clues were clever and the kids enjoyed it. Next year we are doing the Mickey's Magical Milestones. :)

We did it this past July with our 13 year old dd. It was fun, but we are all goofy and cut up a lot. I think it was a time when she could act like a kid and not care, which that is what all parents want for their teens, right?

Also, I don't think there is an age limit. We had a little girl in our group that couldn't have been over 2, if that old.

A question for those who have done this tour recently:

Which character(s) joined the tour towards the end??

We have this tour booked for the first week of January and am really looking forward to it.
Thank you
Suzy

Oh boy, we have this tour booked for Christmas week and now I'm wondering if my kids are too old. I have DDs 11,11 and 15. I know the 15 year old won't be happy with it, I told her a little about it and she thought it was dorky, but I thought the 11's would like it and I know I will. :rotfl: :rotfl: Should I rethink this one and save the money?? Does anyone think 11 is too old to enjoy this? :confused3

I have this booked for January and can't wait to do it. I'm taking my DD5 and my niece who is 11 on it. I think I'm more excited than the kids to do it. And trust me, I can act just as silly as the rest of them. The only reason my DH is going is so he can video tape it. If grown ups can't act like kids in Disney then they shouldn't BE in Disney!

My kids had a great time!! There is no age limit. My kids were DD13, DS10 and DD7. Every one of them had a great time! Without giving too much away(if you want details PM me) every one of my kids had a chance to participate and even DH and I had a blast!! We crawled and waved and walked like penguins....and so much more!! Our tour guide was too much fun! Just do it..it's really alot of fun and totally worth the money!!

Whew, thanks so much! I was getting worried there. I can't wait for the tour, I read about it onlineand didn't ngive away the secret ending to my kids! I can't wait to act like a kid again, but hey who needs the tour to do that! :rotfl: :rotfl:

We just came back and did the tour last Wednesday and I have to say we had an awesome tour guide, Nicole. My daughter will be 5 next month and loved it as did my DH. The parents did participate. The ages of the kids ranged from less then a year to 10. Peter Pan surprised everyone at the end and we all walked together to Mickey's PhilarMagic. It was very special, the 2 1/2 hrs flew by! I highly recommend it! The price is $25 a person and you get a discount with an AP. If you want pics email me at Avivasmom@comcast.net.

Both my cousin and I did it, and we're both well over 40! We don't have kids, but that didn't stop us. We had a ball! We searched for clues, waved our arms about, made funny animal noises, got stared at by the crowds, and we loved it! The funniest part for me was when we had to crawl on the floor :rotfl2: If you can't forget yourself for a few hours and act like a kid again, in DisneyWorld of all places, why are you there? For any kids (or parents for that matter) who are too cool to join in, they probably wouldn't have fun anywhere. Some people are just like that. I'm not going to give away the details of the tour--that would spoil the fun. Please, dear readers, if you've been on the tour already, don't reveal all. Save the surprises for the newcomers.

I think for older kids it is entirely contingent on 1) how the adults in the group are acting and 2) the tour guide. Our guide was very nice but she didn't really encourage the adults to do the activities WITH the kids. And I felt like a total idiot being the only adult actually participating.

We had a neat mix of folks - a newlywed couple, a couple celebrating their 50th anniversary, and 4 families with kids. DS9 was the oldest child actually doing the activities. One of the families had a young teenage girl but she just observed. I think if the parents and other adults really get into the act and the tour guide really encourages 100% participation it would make the experience totally different.

We weren't disappointed really, but DS hasn't mentioned the tour at all since we did it. Obviously it didn't make much of an impression on him. We don't have a Disney Visa, but we did get a discount for being AAA members.

We're going at the end of January ~ am I too late to book? I think it sounds like something all of us would enjoy. Since someone said there was an under one there, I'm guessing we can take the toddler. If he gets tired, one of us will just leave the tour.

Call 407-WDW-TOUR and tell them the date you are interested in. I can't remember if it is offered multiple days or not - I know we went on a Wednesday. You may book up to 1 year in advance, but I don't know how often the tours are full. You will need to pay in full at the time of booking. Enjoy! :flower:

We did this in October..our 3 kids loved it! I highly recommend it!
