This is all great information and good pictures. I am so excited.. I act like a kid everyday so I'm sure we are going to have a blast..
Thank you so much..
I booked the tour for August 24th :cheer2:

I didn't realize that you could book this more than 180 days in advance. I'll be trying to book for either August 23rd or 24th later today.

Tours can be booked a year in advance. I booked our Mickey's Magical Milestones tour back in November and our trip isn't until August. :)

We did the Family Magic Tour in November with our three kids, 3/5/6. We didn't tell the kids that we were doing it. We got to MK, rode Buzz, Pooh and the teacups, then did the tour. It was the most fun we've ever had as a family. The kids loved it. Our tour guide (Hope) was the best. We met Wendy at the end. Wendy was incredible with the kids. They still talk about her. :)

I am not sure since I did not book it myself--the wonderful Sue Ellen from DU took care of it for me. I do know that she booked it way before she did all of our ADRS so I would call now .

By the way, we had both Peter Pan & Wendy.

Thank you--I called this morning and booked it for the morning I wanted, June 26 (our last full day at Disney)! Now I'm running out of things to plan and will have to twiddle my thumbs for the next three months!

I just booked it for July 1st for a special mother/son adventure.

I booked it for our trip in 2 weeks. There will be 12 of us. 6 kids, and 6 adult - kids. I wish I wouldn't have told everyone about what we were doing so that it could be a surprise but I wanted to make sure everyone wanted to do it. I'm sure it will be great for my boys, I hope it's fun for the older ones as well.

My family experienced the Family Magic Tour with another Dis'ers family (Floridafam) in 2004. I wrote about it in great detail in an old Trip Report: click here -- just look for the post on that page entitled, "Day 2: Grand Floridian (Part 2)." In my post you will find links to quite a few photos.

We had a wonderful time on the tour and I would definitely consider doing it again.

Your trip report was wonderful! Now I have to go back and read the rest of it.

The slide show was such fun!!! I was looking for something for the next trip and this sounds like a nice surprise. Thanks to the OP for the thread!

do you pay for the whole tour up front? and it's $25 per person? Any AP discounts?

I'm not sure about AP discounts, but I was able to get 20% off with Disney Visa.

I am regretting telling the rest of our party too much info about the tour. I wish I would have let it be a surprise. Tell me it will be ok! I'm am starting to get obsessive about this trip.

Hi!

Lilygator - I received my AP discount for this tour - I think it comes out to $20 per person. Good Luck!

also for an AP discount - do you have to give your passholder number? I should know this sucker by heart but DH keeps all three in his wallet....:) for safe keeping - I think he wants to make sure I don't go to Disney without him!

Ok I booked it~paid in full with AP discount and never asked for AP number. Can anyone tell me when this ends? She said about 12:30 but I wasn't sure when to make lunch plans...I also booked a Behind the Seeds Tour, both had 15% AP discount

total FM $68.85 (3 - 3 and up one infant)
total BTS $28.90

My folks and I did this with my twins sisters, 10, and 22-yr.old cousin (who was a CP at the time) this past December. We all had fun, but my cousin felt kinda silly during some of the participation. She was laughing at me for getting so into it, since I'm the older one! :rotfl2:

At one point we did a follow the leader game, and my dad had to flit like a fairy princess....it was priceless. Our tour guide was great, and the twins couldn't stop smiling. They about had a heart attack when Peter and Wendy came out. I must be turning into my mom because the sight of them enjoying everything so much made me tear up. :lmao: We did this our last day, it was literally the last thing we did before boarding the Magical Express, and was a perfect ending to a magical week. We cried like babies at the airport. :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

The tour went from 10:30-12:30, and check-in is at 10:15. I don't know about AP discounts, but we got one for my cousin being a CM. We paid at time of reservation. If you're making a lunch ressie, I'd allow some time in case the tour runs over a few minutes (ours did) and also for walking time to the restraunt.

I haven't been yet, but from what I've heard it's around 12:30. As far as what day of the week is best, everyone advised me not to do it on the first day at MK, because the kids would be wanted to do the rides that they see and not want to do the tour.

thanks! I booked CRT for 1pm that day, so we should have enough time to get over to the castle! I can't wait!
