Family, Friends, & Celebrities- A MAGICAL Birthday TR!!! *UPDATE*8/27! Final thoughts

Oh my goodness!!!! I felt like I was watching a thriller movie for goodness sakes.....I was feeling the panic for both of you! This has happened to us near the water area(Donald Duck Steam boat) in Toon Town. My husband & I would like to think that we are over the top and we only have 1 too, and yet w/ 2 eyes on him, how does it happen? The kids don't realize how frightnening it is to us when they wander off, and really why would they?. :scared1: Let's all breathe. Ahhhhhh. We're all good now. :thumbsup2 Glad that everything was good.

Really cool HM and Princess!! I'll have to look for those when we're there.

How scary to "misplace" Ana!!! Glad everything turned out okay. The picture of her on the film slide after is so sad. :(

Love that close-up Photopass pic of her! The Monsters, Inc pics are all really good!

I was trying to find a HM in the playground by using the HM which Kathy (Katmark) sent to us. (Thanks again Kathy!!! ;)) I was looking everywhere and I couldn't find it. I CM saw me looking around and asked me if I wanted help finding it. I agreed and she led me to this.

You are welcome...I'm glad it came in handy.

I can understand your fear and you scolding Juliana. The first time we took Andy to Disney World, he was just short of two years old (around 22 months I'm thinking). We were in the big shop at Epcot which used to be called the Centurium and is now MouseGears. We were with my mom and dad, Mark and me and Andy. All of a sudden I turned around and I couldn't find Andy. We looked everywhere in the store (at that time it was two stories). I finally ran outside to see if he had gone out the door, and I found him walking hand in hand with Mickey Mouse. They proceeded to go sit on a bench where Minnie joined them and tickled him and kissed him. Of course, we got it all on videotape and then, after he was done with the characters, his father and I yelled at him for taking off. Of course his response was: "I was okay, mommy....I was with Mickey."

We have yet to go to the "Shrunk" playground. It looks fun! Cool hidden Mickey. I couldn't see it until you highlighted it for us. And how awesome there is a hidden princess! All the more reason for me to check it out (next year, when I finally make it back!)

I could totally feel the panic when you described losing your daughter. I HATE that feeling! I've had it a time or two myself. I'm so glad you found her quickly. :goodvibes

VERY CUTE pictures of the Monsters, Inc. crew. I have yet to meet them, but I plan to (again, next year)! I love Mike!

You just gave me an idea for the one of the "empty spots" on my DHS Day Touring Journal page- the location(s) of all Pixar characters. Incredibles, Monsters, Cars, UP, etc.... THANKS!
No prob!!!!

Keep in mind the spot across from TSM is usually packed. You can see Buzz, Woody & others there. The Monsters INC spot is kinda 'hidden' so there usually isn't a line there.

I'm with you here. Our local zoo has a little playground that my kids just love. Of course we can't play at the park directly across the street for free - we have to pay zoo admission, look at 3 animals, then spend the rest of the time at the playground. :sad2:
It's always the way isn't it?

Does she have any idea what "film" is? :rotfl2:
Doubt it! :rotfl2:

Yup, that would be my family too if (ok, when) we've lost one of our kids. Although I wouldn't say she was lost - more like misplaced.
When you look back, it doesn't seem so bad, but in the moment there it is scary!

I can't wait to see what Stopher does with this pic after the ribbing he gave me for squatting next to Tiana & Naveen in my TR. :rotfl2::rotfl:

:rotfl2: I didn't want to make Mike feel too bad standing next to me! :rotfl2:

Hey - you used the celebrity tease at the end of your last update. This has better be someone big (like Chuck Norris!) to warrant being teased twice. If its some C-lister like CarrotTop or anyone from a reality show, I swear I'm going to unsubscribe from this trip report!
:lmao::lmao::lmao: :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I thought I was going to get to it this update... didn't know how much I was going to write.:sad2: It WILL be in the next update for sure!!! :cool1:

Ahhhhh - the lost child in the HISTK play area. Been there done that numerous times. But, like you alluded to, it's not the kids that are lost - it's the parents. ;) The kids know where they are at all times.
I think they usually keep a CM at the entrance/exit for this very thing. If there is a lost kid they will just stop people from leaving until the kid is found.

Scary though.:scared1:

What a scare! Fortunately, we have not had this experience yet with our DD. I only lose backpacks! :rotfl2:
LOL Backpacks!!!

Hope it never happens to you! :thumbsup2
Awwww... this is the first picture I can remember seeing where DD isn't smiling  You meanie! :lmao:
I know.. we were mean.:sad2:

She got over it pretty quickly though.
Well - actually - I thought about saying something, but then realized, wait, he's just trying to get down to Mike's level - so Tim's bending down makes sense.

Nice pictures and update Tim! :)
Barry was trying to get closer to Naveen I think! :lmao:

There really must be 'little people' inside that costume. Poor Mike is so short.:duck:

We "lost" a child for about one minute at US and it was HORRIBLE!
Makes you wanna squeeze their head off when they are located, and spank em'! :lmao:
Enjoying the updates as usual...

KIM

These are the parenting moves that we are going to have to learn in the future! :rolleyes1

???

What were the balloons for?

I have no envy for you with the three across install- i swear i would buy a new car just to avoid that.

i don't think i could have ever found that Hidden Mickey. I know Maya wouldn't- she couldn't find something attached to her arm if it meant interrupting her playing.

Its freaky when you can't see them. Maya did that to me at Target once. We were testing her out-of- buggy behavior before the baby was born. I bent down to look at something. turned back around and she was gone. i start panicing and am at the verge of asking for a store lockdown when i find her. turns out, someone had left a ride-on toy at the end of the isle. she hopped on and was riding around the store. i yelled at her, she got in teh cart, and we headed over to the baby section to add a monkey leash backpack to our purchases.

looks like the weather was great so far.

nice update tim!!! we have a pic when our dd was about 3 going down that slide with me first!!! i didnt put my feet down at the end and ended up on my butt!!! dd is 17 and she still remembers that everytime we walk by the play ground.:lmao:
Any pictures of that??? :lmao:

So your saying when Juliana is 17 she won't pull me to that playground anymore?:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

WOAH! You OK there?????;)

It is very scary! Glad it wasn't any thing more than that.

Really cool HM and Princess!! I'll have to look for those when we're there.
You are getting close aren't you!! :woohoo:

She was a little upset... but a few minutes later she was back to normal. :)
Love that close-up Photopass pic of her! The Monsters, Inc pics are all really good!
Thanks!! I like Sully although he was getting a little touchy feely with Mel. :lmao::lmao:

Great update! Poor Juliana for getting scolded. :sad1:
It isn't all smiles in the happiest place on earth... is it? :confused3

Hey, did you feel that quake?
You are welcome...I'm glad it came in handy.
I used it throughout the week and found some more too!

WOW that must of been scary!!!! Weird that the characters would just walk with a toddler without parents though. :confused3

I kept looking at that 'root' and I didn't see it. Then it just popped out at me!
I could totally feel the panic when you described losing your daughter. I HATE that feeling! I've had it a time or two myself. I'm so glad you found her quickly. :goodvibes
It was quick but felt like it took forever! I hope it doesn't happen to you or us again!!! :sad2:
VERY CUTE pictures of the Monsters, Inc. crew. I have yet to meet them, but I plan to (again, next year)! I love Mike!
Thanks! Mike has to be one of the hardest costumes to be in. I think I'd get claustrophobic in there!

First the hugging.. then the scolding! :rotfl:

Hope to have another update tomorrow. :)

What were the balloons for?
No clue. :confused3 But they were cool to watch! :)

That HM was a tough one. I don't think that pops out at many people.

Juliana loves the tea cups too! I get the spinning started and she does the rest. She can't get enough of the spinning!

(I don't need to see pics of your DW getting sick though :sad2:);)

Thanks!! I like Sully although he was getting a little touchy feely with Mel. :lmao::lmao:
Well, anyone can see that your wife is just absolutely gorgeous! Who can blame him? :goodvibes

Amen!

Yeah, I can see that. Boo's costume seems a bit small, too, now that I think about it! I'm glad that's not my job... but then... if it got me at Disney everyday... :rolleyes1

(in other words, I think I could make some sacrifices! :thumbsup2)

Aww what a scare with Juliana but glad to hear she was fine. Where did she go?

We love LMA so I hope you guys were able to see it. I guess I'll find out when you update again :thumbsup2

LOVING your report!

I am finally caught up!

Since it took me so long to get over here...I won't throw any of this....

popcorn::

Tee hee. :rolleyes1

I particularly enjoyed the HM and have to admit I forwarded myself to the END of the "We lost Juliana story" and then went back and read the details! I just had to "find" her first!

Phew...what a cliff hanger! I totally know that feeling and luckily it has rarely happened which makes it worse I guess!! I'm so glad you found her and no issues at all!

Was it hot in there this time? I remember the fall trip and it was burning up (same for us too), just curious if it really does cool down in there? :rotfl2:

Great pictures!!

Heather

Oh I'm thankful it was just a little scare. :scared1:

The temps while we were in Disney ranged from 70-80 so it was really perfect weather! October was a little ridiculous... it was 90-95 everyday!! :scared1::scared1:

You can keep telling yourself that (if you want) ..... :rolleyes1:rolleyes1 :lmao::lmao:

Trust me. Every time I get to about my 4th jog in the C25K I tell myself that! :lmao::lmao: Not that I want to, but hey, 42, doesn't feel like 25!!
