OK, OK, I'm leaving tomorrow and ready as I'll ever be! So I'm sitting here taking a break and thinking about something that is going on in our family. And when I say going on, I mean since the beginning of time with DH's family.
I see alot of it on these boards -- family feuds. Someone is slighted and gets mad and the whole thing can get blown out of proportion in no time flat. Yes, it's true -- the person that started it was wrong, but everyone makes mistakes, and the rest of the people act like they've never done anything wrong in their lives.
Someone has a party and leaves someone out. Someone doesn't help pay for something they should. Somebody is selfish, or uncaring. Aren't we all at one time or another? Why are we so quick to write people off for being human. DH's family had a generation of sisters die not speaking to each other and looks like they are working on another one now.
My family has it's own problems, but this isn't one of them. I'm saying this to all of you because saying it to DH's family would get my head bitten off!!!
I think we should all go out and reach out to a family member we are estranged from or having a little feud with. If we can't get along with them, what hope is there in the middle east?
