For those of you with kids (especially families with 2 adults, 3 kids. ;) ) - what do you typically spend on a Disneyland trip (not including travel expenses).

We always travel off-season, drive down (budget $400 gas & $200 hotels en route), and we're considering a summer trip! We typically stay 5 days, although since it's summer likely 6 with the 6 for price of 4 passes. Normally we stay DLH but have done a priceline once when we had AP with free parking.

It's been a while since we've been so I can't even recall a rough figure of what we spend while we're there on hotel, tix, food, and souvenirs (nevermind no AP discounts this trip ugh!)

for us 2 adults plus 18,19, and 8 yr old it runs us around $2500 not including gas to and from or souvies but does include our food budget.... it can differ a bit over and under but that seems to be the average we spend, I do pkgs sometimes but mostly we do everything ala carte...... when my 18 and 19 yr old were much smaller and we didnt have the 8 yr old we could go for a week to 8 nites for less than $1500 but alas everything is so much more expensive now!!!

We are a family of 2 adults, 2 teen boys, and two young girls under 7, and when we went last year on the 5 for 3 deal (good neighbor hotel - Portofino) we spent about $1700 for hotel and tickets and around $1200 for food plus BBB for the girls. That budget was in the moderate range, IMO, and consisted of one meal in the park and one meal off site per day, with breakfast, water, and snacks coming from groceries.

Hello from GR :rotfl:.

There are good rates right now at the Resort Hotels, so check those out. I am budgeting $100 per person for souvenirs and I'm costing out the meals based on what I think we will do - a few characters meals, some counter, some sit down. For a family of four, it's about $200-$250/day, including snacks. Also taking dd to BBB and there will be photo costs too. I may have to rent a stroller, those are $15/day.

We drove last year and I hotwired the hotels for about $70/night.

We don't usually stay as long as you do but here's our budget:

Rental Car (we drive there from Az) $125
Gas $60
Park Vue Inn 3 nights $343
Park Hoppers approx $720 (mom paid for tickets for us)
Food (Including GK) $264 -used $200 in DIsney Reward $$=$64
Souvies (kids brought own money) $6 I bought a mickey head cookie cutter

This was our cheap trip!

We took several budget trips in the last year with 2 adults and 3 kids. BUT, we had AP's so we didn't have to spring for tickets.

Hotel - usually 4 or 5 nights - about $400 (HoJo)
Food - one meal in the park per day - $60 (DH and I share meals a lot) or $300 for 5 days
Food - bring in lunch and eat breakfast in the room - usually about $100
Tickets - had AP's (soooo glad)
Souvenirs - don't usually spend a ton of money on souvies - $100-150 for everyone the entire trip (about $20/person)

We spent 1200-1400 a trip including gas and hotel on the way there. Sometimes more, but never less than $1200.
