I know that our company (plumbing, heating & air) will be offering our services at cost to families of military personnel. From what I understand this may be a growing trend in the service industry. Gives my company great publicity, while also helping out the families.

Ask around, it never hurts.

That is good to know. I think it's a great idea.

I think it is great when businesses help out military famiies. The Sylvan Lerning Centers where I formally worked offerd 10% off tuition at all times.

My son's Kindergarten which also offers care on non school days is allowing me to not have to pay the drop in rate of $40 per day when school is out, but rather keep paying the $26 per day I pay for his kindergarten.

When DH is home, he takes off all of the day's they are not in school. With him not being home, I unfortunately do not get that many paid days off.

It is nice that companies offer that.
