This is a question mostly for the frequent Universal visitors.

Is there any place in Universal Orlando that you have become extra familiar with?

It hit me today that I've spent a lot of time in the front row line for Hulk. In most rides, you either breeze through the whole queue, or you wait out the entire line. But on Hulk, I'm used to walking all the way through the line, then having to wait for the front row. This, and the fact that I tend to do Hulk with such frequency and repetition, has made the area very common to me. It feels like a well-known, familiar place.

This is also the case with the front row area for Ice Dragon because of the people I've spent time with there. Again, like Hulk, you walk through the entire DD queue, and then stop and wait for the front row. I have memories of waiting in that line with a couple of girlfriends and my best friend. Maybe it's because I tend to do DD first, so it's the first memory I have with those people at Universal.

Anyway, enough of that. Are there any places on Universal property where you've spent so much time you feel like home when you’re there?

Gee, I wonder what FlyFlyEclipse's response will be!!!!:smooth:

Lost Continent:
Reminds me of my "sailor in a foreign port" days.
Except, there's a T.V. in Alchemy / Oak Tree (but that's a big positive!).

Hey!!!!!!!!!!!! :p LOL

Well, I'm familiar with a particular spot of black pavement. It just so happens to be right in front of where the Ghostbusters Show is performed! :p I become VERY familiar with the area when I spend about 5 hours there every trip to Universal (including show and waiting time). :D

My first memory of the show: I will always remember it...My cousin and her daughter told me about this show and we sat in the front row. She was recording the show with her camcorder, and as soon as the guys came out, the guy in the cowboy hat (who isn't there anymore :( ) came over and shook his behind in the camera. :p What an impression that gave me of the show!!!!! LOL

But it's not just a familiar place anymore...there are familiar people...(not talking about the ghostbusters, lol). Other girls who like the show too...I've met them on various trips. :)

Any other places I'm familiar with? Yeah, but not as much ;) Single riders of MIB, towards the end of the row of Horror Makeup Show (facing the stage, to your right...in order to get out quickly enough to get to the next Ghostbusters Show early!!!!)

I have the drive up and back memorized I've done it so much.
Every bump in the road, all the curves, cities, buildings...

The most fimiliar place to me is the front gate of IOA, because I'm always there 45 minutes before the park opens. Worth it though, I get the front seat of Hulk as a walkon, usually the 1st train out.

Seriously, the NY streets in the Spiderman ride. Everytime we ride it, I see something new and I love it.

Other than the Obvious (to those who Know), I'd say MIB Single Riders Line.

Ours would have to be the Croissant Moon Bakery and the POE area out by the inland sea. Spent a lot of mornings there eating muffins and drinking our coffee.

I love to sit on the wall by the Talking Fountain. Even though it's 1200 miles from home, it feels like I'm home when I get there. My family wants to move on after about 15 minutes, but I could spend hours there!!

The seating area up by the water across from BTTF. That is the one attraction that can really give me motion sickness quick, so most trips I only do it once, and then wait in this area for the family when they ride again. I have so many pictures of Amity, SF, and NY from that spot ;) .

Mine would be the re-entry area for Dueling Dragons. When I visit IOA, I travel with a friend who won't ride coasters. I go the the park alone for the first hour or two and ride DD over and over and over...again. I meet a lot of nice people there. Then I move on to the Hulk until it's time to meet up with my friend.

My familiar place would be the path from HRH to US. Love that short walk!!

I have 2. One is sitting at an outdoor table along the piazza at Portofino Bay. Walking along the cobblestone and basking in the many lights that frame this resort as they reflect off the water. Watching the boats pull into the harbor. Seeing all the happy faces as I people watch.

The 2nd one is at POE at IOA. Early morning as the park opens. I always slow down at that moment to take it all in. That music is mesmorizing and it fills me with anticipation to start my day. The aroma from the croissant moon bakery that permeates and greets your senses.

Thanks for creating this thread Kevin, I love reliving these memories!
