I've been booked for almost a month, but just made my ADR's (shame on me I know). Check in Sept 22. When I made the res., I was told there were only separate tables available for that large of a party (4 adults 3 kids) unless we ate dinner at 9pm.

Do you think it will be possible to get one table once we get there, or tables even close together?
Just curious!
Thanks,
Julie

Yes, they usually do everything they can to put u together...but it also depends on the restaurant.

I think the resturant will do what they can to get you something that will work well for your group. And for the most part they do try and seat you close to each other....if not at one table. I'd guess if your booking ADR at "Prime" times you may have a harder time with it...but if your willing to wait they once you arrive (if they'll let you do that) you may even have a good chance at prime times. We went with a larger group in 2005 and were also told at many places we'd be sat at diffrent tables. We were never told anything about booking later to be sat together...(we were this year when we booked).....but for the most part we were sat at tables very close to one another. I don't know how old your kids are...but ours enjoyed having a "kid" table at most of the places while the adults enjoyed dinner at a table together.

We were 7 and were always seated together. For one restaurant we were told there was a possibility of being split between two tables (didn't happen, though). Maybe they tell you that just in case there are problems getting a larger table so you don't get too mad at them? :confused3

I've booked a table for 9 people, had to be flexible about the times.

We were a group of 8.
Just got back on May 20 from 8 nights at WDW.
We had a dinner ADR each night & also a breakfast one morning.

I'd had my choices of times because I called at the 180 day mark.
The dinner ADRs were between 5:40 - 7:10pm.

We were seated together at a large, round table at each of the following:
Chef Mickey's
Crystal Palace
LTT
Whispering Canyon
O'hanas
1900 PF

**I thought we really lucked out. When I made the ADRs, I was told that for 2 of my dinners, we might be seated at two tables of 4...but we weren't.

I love the round tables...everyone can actually see & converse with each other!!!

They have always had to do this for us at a couple of different restaurants (especially LeCelliers), but we always end up eating together at the same table;)

Party of nine for my upcoming trip. Was told that many places don't have tables that big, so had to book seperate tables for many meals. Hoping for the best:goodvibes :goodvibes

Mine's a party of seven, and I'm pretty sure we've never been seated at two separate tables. I mean, sometimes they'd push two tables together, but our group never actually split up.
Good luck!

Thanks so much for your replies. I was told "I can give you two tables at 6 or 1 table at 9pm" when making the res's. I opted for the 2 tables, but I'm hoping for the best, since we were actually booked as 2.

Thanks again!
Julie

p.s. wish I had found this site before my last trip!!
