FALSE ALARM, whew! Looks like WOC will be showing every night in the off season

I noticed the same thing. Interesting because I made reservations for an Ariel's WOC dinner on Wednesday Sept. 14th and they never said anything about it not showing. But I see what you mean no listing for Monday to Thursday, but listings for Friday to Sunday.

Will definitely be on the phone tomorrow. No big thing but it is interesting. Guess we might be changing our anniversary dinner plans again.:confused3

I noticed this too and I am gutted as I had planned to do Fantasmic! and the fireworks on a Sunday and WOC during the week Mon-Thurs.

Now I will have to drop the fireworks and rush from the first WOC show over to DL for the second Fantasmic! show. I'm not sure how long WOC is, but hopefully it finishes before the fireworks start and maybe I can get to DL before they finish.

The schedule isn't finalized yet. They haven't added Aladdin either yet. No need for panic.

The sky is falling!!!

No, I agree, let's not panic yet. I made a reservation for Tuesday, September 6th for Ariel's Grotto WOC package, and the person said, without me asking, that she sees that the show that night is at 8:15 and that my dining options were X, Y, Z. So, they are probably still figuring everything out. Not sure why it takes so long over at DLR for this kind of stuff, but alas.

There was another thread pertaining to this yesterday. I agree with sonnyjane - I don't think the schedule is finalized yet. It's probably falling into place, little by little. But eventually - if not this year, sooner or later - it could settle into a weekend-only schedule in off-peak season. I wouldn't be shocked. Right now, though, since DCA is undergoing so much construction and some people are turned off to going there because of that, to remove WoC from the nightly schedule would almost seem like an invitation to avoid DCA altogether!

I was just on the phone making a dining reservation, and was told that WOC is running during the week in Sept (for the week of Sept 19th at least) and that there would be one show at 8:15pm

Last year the calendar didn't list WoC for during the week in Sept until mid to late August. It was there every single night. Don't panic.

I booked my WOC dining for Wednesday, September 28th and the cast member on the phone just said that the show would be playing but only one time at 8:15!

So glad. We're already missing Fantasmic & Fireworks and was a bit upset that they would have cut back on WOC. Now it's just hoping that Aladin will be playing.

Question... it says that WOC starts at 8:00pm. But that's also the time that it states the park closes. I take it you can be in the WOC area but no where else in the park? Also, how long before the show starts do we need to be there? I haven't made a dining reservation as I'm still up in the air about spending that kind of money for a "cold" dinner. Does the FP seating passes have just as good of a seating area? :confused3

In general, the park closing time (for either park) means that you're not allowed to get in line for another ride. If you're already in line, you get on the ride -- whether it takes 10 minutes or 45. The shops typically stay open for another hour or so, to service people already in the store shopping, as well as people on their way towards the exit. It can take quite a while for the parks to totally empty out, up to an hour or so.

So it's not true you can't be anywhere else in the park. There will be people in line, the rides will still be going, and people will still be shopping. By the time WOC ends, crowds of people will still be making their way slowly toward the exits.

HTH,
Bob
