I checked my mail Saturday and no package from SS. A bit disappointed, but then I thought, must have gone out too early and the mail hadn't been delivered yet since there was absolutely nothing in the mailbox and that only happens about twice a year. So, I went back out Sunday and there was the key to the package box! Hmm..I was excited just to get the box! I thought I might just look at it for a couple of days, but I decided about an hour later that I couldn't stand it, so I opened it anyway.
My SS loves all holidays, so she sent me a bit of everything. She asked if I used die cuts. I don't know a really good definition of that, but I have used some die cuts in the past. Are die cuts just from sizzix, cricut, wishblade, etc.? Or do you buy them from the store already preprinted and cut? Maybe like the punchouts?
My wonderful box had:
Assorted Hershey's Kisses
3 Autumn Printed Ribbons
Christmas Light Bulb Brads-I almost bought some of these last week!
Acorn Paper Punch
2 Small Jack-o-lantern Pumpkin Pails
5 Sheets of 12" x 12" Paper, 2 4th of July, 1 Family, 1 Memories, and 1 Red and Black Mickey
Large Mickey Paper Piecing
Bo-Bunny Press Family Memories Twill Stickers
Sleeping Beauty Embellishments, the ones with the dress
Fiberpiecing by Fiber Scraps Embellished Accents Love Collection, comes with eyelets, beads, and yarn/fiber to embellish the shapes that come with it
Deja Views Oval Ovation oval template

A Baggie of Assorted Things, maybe they are all called die cuts, some are a printed design and some are plain colored paper with a shape cut out
Then the most unexpected items:
Mrs. Grossman's Favorite Albums, 8" x 8", pink colored
Mrs. Grossman's Refill Pages, and
Mrs. Grossman's Page Protectors.
Just about everything I received I have never seen in stores here. It's been quite fun looking at everything.
Pretty in tink and I have been talking about what to do with the album. I've decided that it will be our "Tacky Tropical Party" Album. Originally, the party got planned by pretty in tink, a cousin of mine, and me at a baby shower that had way too many people attending. We couldn't see or hear anything. We ended up being a little silly and came up with the idea. It hasn't worked out to be an annual thing yet, but not for lack of trying (my DH didn't have many Saturdays off this summer). The party is a little silly. Everyone gets to vote for the best "tacky dressed" people. Now we will be able to bring out the album every year and people can laugh at some of the strange outfits (one winner wore a fishnet with plastic crabs and fish on it). It is a day for hilarity. The album won't be bulky, but can be easily passed too, if need be. By the way, one year, someone voted for pretty in tink. They didn't say her by name though. She was the "girl in the sheet". She was actually wearing a pareau purchased at the Polynesian Hotel.

No, it didn't look like a sheet.
So, thanks so much SS.
