Fall School Vacations?

I know some states have "fall school vacation", Does anyone know when this is? Or is it the same week every year? I think it is in October, not sure which week..... Anyone who could help me out.... THANKS!!!

Hmmmm, well NY schools have off for Columbus Day and this year my kids have Yom Kippur as well. Both are on Mondays I think.

Some school districts in Texas have it the first week of october, but this is our last year for it because they have decided that we will start school after Labor Day and skip the fall break. BUMMER.

Some schools in Kentucky have a break in mid October ..around the 15th.

Thank you... We went this past October (10-17) and WDW was pretty packed, when we asked why... alot of people were saying they were on Fall Vacation.... So, I figured..... I would try and find out what week/weeks fall vacation is....

we have a school break in MN, the kids are off 10/19&10/20.

We are going 10/14-10-21.

Hmmm....our kids go back to school the week before Labor Day & I wish we had a fall break here....the kids only get off one day in October & that's for the state teachers' convention.

Nothing more than a day or two here in this part of NY(and it usually is on a Friday!)

Our scholls in Georgia are getting the week of Oct 9th thru the 13th off this year.

Our school district only give two days off...Thursday and Friday to make a long weekend. Most people plan vacations over this time because the next week they only have two full days and three half days for parent teacher conferences. Our days off are Oct. 26 and 27. We are taking our vacation Oct. 25th through Nov. 4th.

This year, the kids are off October 26th and 27th in Indianapolis area. We also have a half day on the 24th, and 1 day off the 25th for parent-teacher conferences. In 2007, we have October 25th and 26th off, with the parent teacher conferences on October 18th and 19th(so they are not combining the days off in 2007! BUMMER!!!).

Several school districts in the Denver suburbs get the last full week of October off. It's the same week every year.

I think some people do in North Tx, but not us...

Tennessee schools are mostly off either the 2nd or 3rd weeks of Oct. (most are the 2nd week).

We are in Westfield, Indiana - each year at the end of October we have a Fall Break on a Thursday & Friday. Parent/Teacher conferences for K-6 are held the Tuesday & Wednesday before.

2006-2007 School Year:
Tue 10/24 - elementary and intermediate schools have early dismissal
Wed 10/25 - no school for K-6
Thu 10/26 & Fri 10/27 - Fall Break (no school)

We take advantage of this Fall Break and will be at WDW 10/21-10/27 this year. DD will miss 1.75 days (Mon & Tue) - she's in 4th Grade. We usually arrange to meet with the teacher before or after our trip for the conference.

In IL some of us have the 1st week in Nov. off, some have the 2nd week. Due to Teacher conferences.... Lots of us vacation then.

I am so jealous of the schools that have a fall break. Here in Ontario we only have Thanksgiving Monday off between Labour Day and Christmas!

Our system has Oct. 20 - 25 off for Fall Break. We start school this Friday, Aug. 4 so we are ready for a break by then!
