We might change our quick trip in late October to a slightly longer trip a little earlier.
Would you rather go in late August and deal with the crowds, but most likely everything would be open? (I'm from Sac, so heat is not an issue) Would you go in mid september and hope for low crowds but know that HM and others may be down for refurb? Would you wait til Halloween season starts and go in early Oct to take advantage of Mickeys Trick or Treat with an almost 3 year old?
We also would be going to San Diego for some Zoo fun and maybe Sea World as well.
This past year we went the weekend before Halloween and got to see the decorations so though they're really neat, they're not a priority for us....
Thanks for your help!

I would choose September since the parks would probably be pretty empty and the wait times for rides would be short. I enjoy not dealing with huge crowds and long lines that are found in the summer months such as August.

I also would choose September. Good weather and low crowds. Unless you MUST see/ride a particular then I see no problem. I bet your 3 year old wont go on HM anyhow.

August- no way, lines with a 3 year old...OMG!!!

October- other than staying up late to gets lots of candy (both of which a 3 year old does not need), it sounds like you have seen all the Halloween Decor.

I also recommend September. We went the 15th-19th this year and were able to walk on almost all the rides. The only one we needed a fast pass for was Splash mountain, though the wait was only 20 min or so. It was in the 80s and there were very few people in the park.
