OKay well maybe not so much here in Las Vegas, LOL, but I talked to my mom in Northern MI and she was mentioning how the nights are getting really cold and the leaves are starting to turn color.

It's September 1st (Happy Labor Day everyone), the kids are back in school, and there are definite signs of Fall starting to show.

For one, the bouncing Pumpkin Mickeys are back in people's signatures! Have you been BOO'ed? ;)

Disneyshopping.com has (and has had for awhile now) their Halloween Boootique up and running on their website.

Plans and dining reservations are being made for all those Fall trips to Disney to see the decorations and attend the parties.

In WDW they have the parks decorated with all the traditional Fall favorites including the awesome jack-o-lanterns. http://www.disunplugged.com/2008/08/28/halloween-decorations-at-the-magic-kingdom/
Not sure if Disneyland has done any decorating yet, (anyone know?) but I know Halloween merchandise is showing up in the DTD stores.

The stores are taking down the back-to-school supplies and replacing them with pretty Fall decorations and spooky Halloween costumes.
I walked by a display yesterday with a pretty Fall table centerpiece that somehow smelled so good! Like cinnamon and other spices that I couldn't quite identify. Mmmmm, it made me think of pumpkin pie though. LOL

I just love the Fall season and cannot wait until we actually start getting some cooler weather here.

And for all of us with Fall Disney trips planned......are we excited yet?!?!?!?!

While I am excited about our up coming trip, I am not so excited about fall. That means months and months of snow is not far off :sad2: :sad1:

And here is a cheery thought: just 2 hours west of us had snow yesterday:guilty:

Ah well, that part is true!
I lived in Northern MI for 3 years after growing up in SoCal. Looking forward to Fall took on a whole new meaning when I was living there because as you said, I knew winter wasn't far behind!! :scared1:

But try not to think about that just yet.....:rotfl:

Fall is my favorite season. I live in Boise and it is so pretty here during that time of year.

I am just hoping the winter that follows is not as brutal as last year.

Today it feels like fall here, only got to 70 degrees. Even though it will be back in the mid 90's by the weekend, *sigh*. Even in Northern Nevada, there isn't much of a "fall season".

But I'm so excited for it. This begins my favorite time of year. With Halloween, and then all the fun holidays. I even look forward to cooler weather, after months and months of 90's and 100's! Just wish we were planning a DL trip this fall!!

I miss fall. Today it was 90 and humid.....

and I have to keep my eye's on Hanna, Ike and maybe the next one, Josephine.

Oh I just want some pumpkin pie and hot cider!

Pumpkin Pie sounds sooooooooo good right now. I was thinking about making an apple pie, that's fall like? Right?

It's still in the upper 90's to low 100's here. I am so ready for it too cool down. We've had the A/C on all day and all night since May. :sad2:

I love this time of year too. There's so much to look forward to, even without a Disney trip planned. :)

I miss it too. Stay safe with all those nasty storms popping up!

I'm glad to see others like Fall too. :thumbsup2 Wanna visitor? I'd love to see your area in the Fall. Here all we have are cactus.
I do hope your winter isn't too bad though.

Sure, I think so. I always associate pumpkin pie, pecan pie and apple pie with the Fall season. Mmmmm, now I'm getting hungry. :rotfl:

BTW, I love your avatar. I have pics of my kids in that spot too. I think it's a great shot. :thumbsup2

Love fall as well!:goodvibes I can't wait until halloween time at Disneyland. My b/f and I are already planning our Halloween costumes.

The weather here is still a bit warm as well. But I still feel fall coming. It will sink in tomorrow when I'm back at work in the elementary school.:yay:

Thanks! After seeing your avatar I had to think about what kind of fall ones I had to put up! ;)

I love that spot too, gonna miss seeing it this year.

I can't wait either! I loved being there at Halloweentime last year. The decorations are great. I keep going back and forth on dressing up for the party or not. I can't wait to see what costumes others are wearing.

LOL I keep changing my avatar trying to find one that just seems right.

I'm so sorry your going to miss being there this year.
Our APs expire in October so we are planning one last family trip and then other than the DIS Girls Only Trip in March, we won't be going back for a long time. Maybe not until the renovation on DCA is done!! :sad2:

Beth...I love your new avatar..and the fact that you got that clown out of your signature. lol

Thanks! Our AP's expired in June, otherwise I think we would have been there again! Technically we weren't going back until NEXT Sept, but I should know better. There is no way I can go that long without going. So I'm looking at early May, that's ds's birthday. Guess I should tell DH! :rotfl2:

LOL on the hot, hot, and hotter description. :rotfl:
What part of MI did you live in? We were up north in Traverse City. Not sure if you know where that is, not too many people do. ;)

You didn't like my clown?? And he was one of the cute ones. Well, good thing I get bored so easily I guess. LOL

Those look so good!!!!! Are those at DL???? I love all the treats they sell during the Fall/Halloween season at the parks. Good thing there is lots of walking, cause I will definitely be indulging in some goodies this October. :rolleyes1

OT--did you hear about the shark they found up in Traverse Bay??:scared1: Here is the link if you are curious. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,414121,00.html

I found those candy apples on google. I love candy apples!! They are my favorite fall treat, besides pumpkin ice cream from Cold Stone!:cloud9:

:scared1: OMG, that is beyond freaky because when we first moved to MI I was online for hours on end, days at a time Googling and researching trying to find anything I could on sharks in Lake Michigan!!! My mom and relatives just laughed at me, and said I was paranoid and that the beaches in Traverse City were NOT like the beaches in SoCal.

I argued that you never know. And some of the small local lakes in the area could get so swamp like in places, I always told my DH that it looked like a good hiding spot for an alligator. After all, many "snow birds" vacation in Florida, so it's not completely unlikely that someone would bring back a baby alligator and keep it for awhile, then release it.
Ever see Lake Placid??? :scared1: :rolleyes1

OK, how the heck did we go from Fall and Disney to sharks and alligators. :rotfl2:

Back to Fall, I've never had pumpkin ice cream. We do have a Cold Stone's down the street though. I might have to give it a try.
I know the Blue Ribbon Bakery is going to be selling some pumpkin goodies too that I want to taste while we are there.
