Fall in MK on June 1st

I'm not sure this is the right place to post this, but I wanted to reach as many people as possible. :)

On June 1st I took a literal header at MK. I tripped on the railroad tracks and landed on my face. I got two black eyes, broken nose, banged up ribs, and bruised knee. Thankfully, it was my last day which means it didn't ruin my trip.

Of course, the cast members were wonderful, but I expect that of Disney. :) The ones I really want to thank is all the visitors who stopped to help me. If any Dissers helped an older lady at the MK on June 1st, I want to give you my thanks. It meant a lot for so many people to care. One man gave me his water bottle, a boy gathered up my belongings, another boy got me a bag of ice to put on my nose. I am especially grateful to the EMT from PA who stayed with me the entire time--from the time I fell until a CM took me to first aid in a wheelchair.

So if any Dissers helped me or know someone who helped me, thank you so much. You were all so kind and caring. And I hope I didn't ruin your day at the MK. :)

OUCH! Sorry to hear that you fell at the MK. I too have tripped on the tracks but luckily did not fall that bad. I'm glad that you were taken care of by Disney and everyone else. Get well quickly. Cheers!!!

Hope you recover ASAP! Sorry that happened to you. :( Those tracks are real ankle benders!

I'm sorry about your fall, but so happy to see your thankful post! I was afraid this would be a thread about .who should I sue?" or "what can I get?"

You're a real silver-lining person to be gratified it was on your last day and I'm glad it didn't ruin your trip. Thanks for sharing about the kindness of Disney and fellow travelers!

So sorry to hear of your fall! I am glad you were well taken care of though. I hope you are well on your way to a 100% recovery. We are headed that way in a few weeks, I will definitely be extra mindful around the tracks. Thanks for the heads up and please take care!

I hope you're recovering quickly. I'm sorry you were hurt. Sometimes the kindness of strangers can be all it takes to turn around a really awful experience.

Wishing you a speedy and health recovery. So nice to see an appreciative post and show that there are still caring people out there. I'm glad you were able to receive such wonderful help and comfort. Take care!

I appreciate all your well wishes! I'm almost 100% better. :) The bruises will be gone in a couple of days and my broken nose was very minor, according to the ENT specialist I saw yesterday. So everything is good. I'm looking forward to my upcoming trip in December. But I can guarantee I will avoid railroad tracks if at all possible. :D

Glad to hear you are okay! That must have been awful. Thanks for the warning too, I will make sure to be careful from now on of the railroad tracks. So happy everyone was able to help you.

I fell during my last trip also (not on my last day, unfortunately). It sounds like yours was worse. I'm glad you're doing okay.

We are headed that way in a few weeks, I will definitely be extra mindful around the tracks.

Also, please be careful of the curbs in the hub during the parade and fireworks times, when they darken the lights. That's where I tripped.

Ouch! Well, now the kids have a new corollary to the old saying about stepping on cracks.

Sorry you had this accident; hope you recover quickly!
