I just got the same email!! I had to jump on board the DIS to see if there was anyone else and sure enough there was.
We have already booked a T.A room discount rate for 10/19-10/27 but this might make me reconsider.

I got this too! Except we went with some friends back in 2007, and I only get the PIN to my e-mail in THEIR name, so I can't use it. Dang it!

We've been getting these PINS for 7 years now! Can never use them. Believe me I've tried. The funny thing is these friends have no interest in ever going back. It's a special torture to get these PINs.

I got a pin in my DIL's name on my email & was able to use it. The CM asked me if DIL got a new email address & no longer using that email account. I said yes then the CM gave the discount that was offered to me. Maybe it will work for for you.

If there is a pin going around, it's an indicator that the FD window for the general public may get larger too. Here's hoping for all you wanting other dates than what's been currently offered.

True. You can not get free dining when staying on points. It's an incentive to fill hotel rooms.

I quote all the above posts (including my own) because I took a chance and called on the PIN - and they let me USE IT! Even though I wasn't the primary name on the PIN, they said my name was associated with it. I am over the moon.

The lesson is, just because a PIN isn't in your name, don't be afraid to try and use it!

That's correct, free dining is the exact reason we don't rent points, buy DVC or even buy APs.

Really! We've taken advantage of Free Dining so many times. I think this will be our sixth trip on Free dining. We get an AP one year and stay on DVC points with the AP, but the first trip of the AP was Free dining! As long as we can get FD for the times we want to travel we will not rent points.
