Fall Fantasy Plus just released!

This is from the DCL forum:

3 night sailings are 11/1,11/15,11/29,12/6 and 12/3

4 nights sailings are 9/30,10/21,11/25,12/2 and 12/9

Biggest discounts are on categories 5-9 but there are discounts on categories 10-12 too.

7 night is not included.

Prices for Fall Fantasy Plus are better than Fall Fantasy. You can get the discount even if you already have made a booking or have a Fall Fantasy already.

Fall Fantasy Plus on the cruise. Fall Fantasy code is FFO and Fall Fantasy Plus is FFP.

3 night cruise-categories 5-7 are 559.00 per person, first two. categories 8-12 are 419.00 per person first two.

4 night-categories 5-7 are 659.00 per person first two.
categories 8-12 are 519.00 for first two.

This means that you can book a category 5 and the price is the same as the category 7. and get a category 8 for the same price as a category 12. Not a bad deal at all.

I just called DVC and they are NOT offering any kind of credit for DVC members who booked cruises on those dates.

I'm pretty mad!

P.S...

For the category I booked (6), if I paid cash, I'd save $550. going from $1985 to $1435. I just check their website. You enter code FFP on the last page of the price quote.

I'm pretty bummed.

Now I have to figure out if it's worth canceling and paying cash?

I wish I could cruise in the Fall - I'm paying $900 per person cat 8 in Aug 2002. I would save your points & pay cash.

I'm a new DVC member and this is our first DVC vacation. From what I've read so far, it seems to be a pain to cancel now and pay cash. My points cannot be put back into the borrowed year. So we'd have to use them before the end of this year???

I just don't know if it's worth the hassle. I don't know enough about it.

I'll look into it some more and then decide. I'm just so angry that I could be saving $550 on my cruise.

Just an FYI. Disney runs different promotions through out the year - Fall Fantasy, Springtime Magic, and Sunshine Getaway. The Fall Fantasy is the first and only discount that has been extended to DVC members. In addition, this is only the second year they have offered us a discount.
