Fall/Fall Advantage 2008

For those who have been accepted for the Fall program (not advantage but the one which starts mid-August). Can you please share what dates in August you could select from as your start/ending dates.

These dates were posted on another forum, so I'm not sure if they're right but they might help!

Keep in mind that the dates change all the time. Disney tries to even out when people arrive so they manipulate the dates frequently. For example, if several people are selecting the 11th they'll pull it until the other dates are selected, then it will come back. They encourage people to check frequently because the dates may change several times in one day! Which means that these dates another person was offered are not the only ones!

if i have friends and family coming to Orlando to visit me can any of the stay in the CP apartments with me?! also once we start CP do we get anytime to go home or see friends or family?! anything like time off?! im doing Fall Advantage so i would be surprised if they would keep me from all my friends and family from May 08 to January 09! anyone know?!

Unfortunately anyone who is not a CP can not stay in the housing.

True but couldnt friend or family stay in a Disney resort and be able to use my Cast Member discount?! also would anyone recommend or know anyone who has done the Jungle Cruise before during CP... i got asked about it in my interview and im thinking about it.

i think i could do it... i mean i would be nervous at first but i would learn to enjoy it after a day or 2. they asked me if i would be up 4 doing it during my interview... Joanna do u think this means i could get this job!?

r attraction jobs competitive or hard to get?! i check off 13 things on my role checklist so i could get anyone one of them i guess... im just worried about getting stuck with the custodial job

They're looking for an honest answer. You don't want to be disloyal to your current employer, but by the same token, they want to hear about any conflict you've experienced and how you've managed to mitigate & resolve it.

Well for instance my big problem with my current employer is I feel there is alot of favoritism, and people don't necessarily get promoted because of their qualifications. Would that be an acceptable answer?

It sounds a little negative, you may want to put a positive spin on the way you word that. Good Luck with your interview!!

Well, it definately sounds a little downbeat and sort of disloyal to your employer. You could make a remark that while you enjoyed certain aspects of your job, you didn't feel there was enough in the way of recoginition for employees. That's honest, but isn't too elaborate of a response to be percieved as being overly negative. If you're asked to elaborate, then you can go into more detail on the fairness and lack of equality you experienced, and how you look forward to working for a company with high standards when it comes to this area.

Sounds good, thanks alot!!!! I can navigate most the questions fine, but that one was really tripping me up on how to answer it. While I'd love to go "no there is nothing I dislike about my current place of employment", I doubt they'd find that very honest. Anyway, thank you.

I had the same thing with kilimanjaro safari. I want to work in the animal kingdom with the animals one day and I told her that, so she was asking me if I could handle the spiel and driving of the vehicle.

I think it would be nervous having to memorize something like that, but I really would like it!

yeah about that... i just had my phone interview 2 dyas b4 urs on Thursday and im already getting too excited and cant stop think about it... i just keep finding myself going in youtube and disney websites looking up disney stuff. how r u deal with the wait?!

deal with it? :/ it's actually quite painful and you get REALLY upset over it. i don't think there really is much you can do to not sit there and constantly think about it so basically you need to find a way to fast forward 4 or 5 weeks sorry but talking on here and the facebook group helps sometimes...then other times it makes you more anxious! good luck!

Im the same way!! all ive been doing is sitting online trying to find stuff on it too. lol. i hate waiting. dee/belle- 4 or 5 weeks?? does it usually take that long?? I talked to a bunch of people who said they got it right after the 2nd week...
